ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager (Securities Lending) oversee the transformation of Apex’s Securities Lending platform. This role is pivotal, focusing on rebuilding the critical infrastructure used by traders to facilitate the lending and borrowing of securities with institutions across the industry. The role encompasses broad cross-functional collaboration and involves driving advancements across key areas, including enhancing support for our rehypothecated margin business and fully-paid securities lending program as well as ensuring rigorous regulatory compliance with robust auditing, reconciliations, and investor asset protection throughout the lending process. At its core, this position will drive innovation in this critical line of business, optimizing operational efficiency while delivering significant P&L impact for the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities
Define and execute the strategy, vision, and roadmap for our securities lending products, including our new lending platform.
Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on analysis and alignment with business goals.
Work with customers and senior business leaders to identify and solve product gaps.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and document detailed product requirements and lead products from design to launch.
Author and maintain key product documentation such as Annual Operating Plans, Product Charters, PR-FAQs, Narratives, and Specifications.
Be accountable for the functional and financial success of Security Lending products.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or other related field (or equivalent work experience) required; Master’s degree in business, finance, or technology preferred.
5+ years of experience in Product Management or Product-adjacent roles, ideally with exposure to compliance and regulatory functions in the financial services industry; however, candidates with strong product management experience seeking to expand their expertise into regulatory domains are also encouraged to apply.
Required Skills/Abilities
Technical fluency with the ability to effectively communicate with engineering teams, understand modern technology concepts, and make informed product design decisions alongside technical staff.
Experience in financial markets, with a strong preference for expertise in the securities lending industry, or a demonstrated eagerness and commitment to quickly develop deep expertise in this domain.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication is a must.
Strong analytical capabilities and comfort with BI tools, Excel, SQL, and potentially more advanced data analysis tools like Python or R.
Experience researching, defining, and documenting market and product requirements.
Solid track record managing the full lifecycle of product development, preferably within a SaaS or cloud-based environment.
A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and a strong preference for incremental and iterative product delivery.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to challenge norms and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Work Environment
This job operates in a hybrid, office environment.
Requires occasional travel (15%+ time) to meet with distributed teams and stakeholders in various locations.

Salary Range
$134,400-$168,000The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
