We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our team—a collaborative, Agile group including product leads, designers, and engineers working across the U.S. and offshore, with Scrum ceremonies held in the Pacific Time zone.
This role will lead feature development and management for the Lynx platform, serving specialty practices such as Oncology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and other multispecialty practices.
This is a Senior Product Manager role responsible for end-to-end feature strategy and delivery for the Lynx platform. The successful candidate will lead feature development for our inventory management platform, translating complex healthcare workflows into achievable product features while maintaining the reliability and compliance standards that our customers depend on.
The position demands expertise in healthcare inventory management systems, user-centric design principles, AI technology integration, EHR interoperability, and agile product development. You will work closely with engineering teams, customer-facing teams, regulatory specialists, and leadership to deliver solutions that serve thousands of healthcare professionals daily.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision Support
Contribute to product strategy aligned with McKesson and Provider Technology Solutions' vision for next-generation healthcare technology.
Support AI integration initiatives to embed actionable data insights directly into user workflows, enabling proactive inventory decisions and drug purchase decisions.
Apply user-centric design principles to transform complex legacy workflows into intuitive, modern experiences.
Collaborate and work closely with engineering teams to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
Product Development & Management
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for complex, high-impact initiatives.
Translate healthcare workflows into technical requirements for AI-powered features that predict drug needs for upcoming patients.
Design seamless EHR integration, enabling easy dispensing from received orders and bi-directional data exchange.
Develop and manage product roadmap using standard formats, including Jira Initiatives, epics, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Create detailed wireframes and mockups for modern UI designs that improve user efficiency and reduce cognitive load.
AI & Data Integration
Define AI-powered features that provide actionable insights for inventory optimization and patient care preparation.
Collaborate with data science teams to implement predictive analytics for drug demand forecasting.
Design intelligent alerting systems that notify users of potential stockouts or ordering opportunities.
Integrate real-time analytics into user workflows to support immediate decision-making.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Partner with clinical stakeholders (Oncology, Rheumatology, and other multispecialty practices) to understand workflow pain points
Coordinate across internal teams, including Account Management, Engineering, Support, and design teams.
Manage external partnerships with EHR vendors and healthcare technology providers.
Facilitate customer feedback sessions to validate priorities and feature designs.
Operational Excellence
Oversee production support and enhancement request prioritization
Manage customer communications for releases and system updates
Develop comprehensive documentation in Confluence for internal teams and external stakeholders
Deliver product demonstrations showcasing AI features and platform improvements to customers and leadership
Coordinate with offshore development teams to ensure seamless collaboration
Team Development & Culture
Provide mentorship and guidance to product team members and cross-functional partners.
Foster an innovation culture, encouraging experimentation with new technologies and user experience approaches.
Maintain positive team dynamics, promoting open communication, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Partner with management on OKRs, competitive analysis, budgeting, and resource planning
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Critical Skills
Experience: 7+ years of relevant product management experience with at least 3+ years in senior product roles
Healthcare Expertise: 4+ years of experience in healthcare technology, preferably with inventory & purchase management, clinical workflows, or specialty pharmacy operations
Technical Background: Experience with software architectures, API integrations, and emerging technologies (AI/ML preferred).

Advanced product ownership with a proven track record of delivering complex healthcare solutions
Healthcare domain expertise in specialty practice operations, drug inventory management, and clinical workflows
User-centric design leadership with experience in user-centered design methodologies and cross-functional design collaboration
Technical & Analytical
EHR integration expertise, including HL7, API, and healthcare interoperability
Data analytics and visualization with the ability to translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights
SQL and reporting tools proficiency for customer analytics and product performance measurement
Experience with modern web development practices
Leadership & Communication
Executive communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including clinical, technical, and business leadership
Agile methodology mastery with 5+ years of experience in agile product development environments
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Healthcare Industry Knowledge
Specialty pharmacy operations understanding, including oncology infusion workflows
Drug supply chain management, including manufacturer relationships and procurement processes
Clinical decision support systems and integration with practice management workflows
Development Tools
Advanced proficiency with Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence)
Design tools experience (Figma, Sketch, or similar) for user-centric design collaboration
Analytics platforms for product performance measurement and user behavior analysis
A/B testing frameworks and experimental design for feature validation
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% travel required for customer visits, stakeholder meetings, and McKesson office collaboration

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
