About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Issuing Product Manager to drive the strategy, design, and delivery of Airwallex’s card issuing products. This role sits at the intersection of payments, fintech, and AI, managing end-to-end card programs for global businesses. You will define product vision, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage AI to enhance customer experience, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.
Own the end-to-end card issuing product lifecycle, including strategy, roadmap, feature prioritization, partner evaluation, and delivery.
Develop AI-driven features for card management, including fraud detection, transaction insights, spend analytics, and personalized user experiences.
Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, compliance, and commercial teams to build scalable, reliable card issuing solutions.
Drive market and user research, analyzing customer needs, competitive products, and emerging trends in credit, debit, prepaid, and virtual card products.
Partner with banks, card networks, and fintech providers to expand and optimize card capabilities.
Iterate quickly on new product launches, feature enhancements, and customer feedback to continuously improve speed, security, and cost-efficiency.
Serve as a subject matter expert on card issuing, payments infrastructure, and AI-enabled enhancements, providing guidance to other teams.
5–10 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in card issuing, payments, or fintech products.
Proven track record managing credit, debit, prepaid, or virtual card products end-to-end.
Experience leveraging AI/ML or data analytics to optimize card programs, detect fraud, or enhance customer experience.
Strong ability to manage trade-offs between long-term vision and short-term execution.
Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex payments and card product strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working in data-driven, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Experience with global card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and banking partners.
Background in hyper-growth fintech startups or payment platforms.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance, KYC/AML, and card network rules.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Lead the design and delivery of innovative, AI-powered card issuing products for global businesses.
Collaborate with cross-functional, high-impact teams to solve complex financial challenges at scale.
