See yourself at Dataminr

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who can own the end-to-end product lifecycle of software integrations we build for our security platform. This starts with a deep understanding of the use case, an appreciation of the technology involved and the ability to inspire our engineers to address the need. You will be working closely with your fellow Product Managers, Engineering teams, Sales Engineering team, and Product Marketing. For customer-facing teams like Sales Engineering, you’ll be responsible for ensuring they are empowered to communicate the value of our products to the market, from writing blogs to giving webinars to speaking at industry events. Successful candidates will be comfortable operating in a multi-product ecosystem while balancing internal priorities with external dependencies.

AI Innovation at Dataminr

Working at Dataminr you’ll have the opportunity to tackle the most exciting trends in AI on a daily basis to power a revolutionary product that uncovers critical events around the world as they unfold.

Regenerative AI: our AI technology, ReGenAI, is a new form of generative AI that automatically regenerates real-time Live Event Briefs as events unfold. Learn more here.

Agentic AI: we recently launched our Agentic AI capability, what we’re calling our Intel Agents, that autonomously generates critical context for our clients on real-time events, threats, and risks allowing them to see the clearest, most accurate view of what’s happening on the ground. Learn more here

Multimodal AI: our platform detects events from many different types of data (images, video, sensor data, audio, and text in over 150 languages). Learn more here.

The opportunity
  • Own the end-to-end integration strategy, deciding which third-party alliances redefine workflows for sophisticated security operations teams.

  • Translate ambiguous APIs into elegant requirements, enabling engineering to build high-performance, maintainable integrations at scale.

  • Orchestrate the full lifecycle—from discovery to release—across the security stack, including SIEM, EDR, and XDR.

  • Navigate multi-product roadmaps to ensure rapid, stable delivery within a fast-moving, iterative SaaS environment.

  • Act as the lead technical diplomat for vendor partners, aligning roadmaps to ensure mission-critical interoperability.

  • Transform complex user needs into intuitive features that fundamentally improve how global teams defend their networks.

What you bring

At Dataminr, we value you for who you are. We encourage you to apply for this role, even if you don't meet every qualification. Our candidates are reviewed on the basis of their skill and potential to succeed.

  • 5+ years as a Technical or Senior Product Manager in the dynamic Cybersecurity SaaS domain.

  • Proven ability to decode third-party APIs and complex user needs into high-quality, actionable engineering requirements.
Expert command of REST APIs, JSON, authentication flows, and tooling like Postman.

  • The strategic acumen to define and own a high-impact integrations roadmap, balancing internal priorities with external vendor ecosystems.

  • A Systems Thinker's capacity to navigate and thrive in a multi-product landscape with agility and resilience.

  • On-the-ground experience with security analysis, SOC, or Threat Intelligence use cases is highly desired.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
