  • Serve as the voice of the North American market by gathering customer feedback, analyzing market trends, evaluating competitive offerings, and identifying opportunities to strengthen SolarEdge’s product roadmap.
  • Partner with global product management and R&D teams to advocate for regional requirements and support the development of solutions that address customer, regulatory, and commercial needs.
  • Lead regional product launches by developing launch plans and coordinating cross-functional execution across sales, marketing, operations, product management, applications engineering, and technical support teams.

  • Collaborate with applications engineering, technical support, and commercial teams to identify field needs, support customer opportunities, and improve the overall product experience.
  • Help translate technical capabilities into clear business value for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the CC&I energy storage industry, preferably in product management, technical marketing, applications engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of Community, Commercial and Industrial energy storage applications, PV-plus-storage integration, site load management, and distributed energy asset controls.
  • Knowledge of competitors, customer needs, market trends, and technology developments in the CC&I energy storage and solar industries.
  • Familiarity with state incentives, economic drivers, ROI analysis, and financial modeling for energy storage deployments.
  • Experience with software platforms, controls, communications, or monitoring solutions for PV-plus-storage applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of NEC and applicable regulatory codes for PV and energy storage installations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support product launches in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening, handling objections, and leading complex discussions with product management, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical and commercial value to internal and external audiences.
  • Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and build trust in a remote environment.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused mindset with the ability to influence across teams and translate market needs into actionable product direction.

What Will Help You Succeed

  • Curiosity and passion for clean energy, energy storage, and emerging distributed energy technologies.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with commercial judgment.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with market, product, customer, and financial data.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
