About Sprinter Health:

At Sprinter Health, our mission is reimagining how people access care by bringing it directly to their homes. Nearly 30% of patients in the U.S. skip preventive or chronic care simply because they can’t get to a doctor’s office. For many, the ER becomes their first touchpoint with the healthcare system—driving over $300B in avoidable costs every year.

By using the same technologies that power leading marketplace and last-mile platforms, we deliver care where people are, especially those who need it most. So far, we’ve supported more than 2 million patients across 22 states, completed 130,000+ in-home visits, and maintained a 92 NPS. Our team of clinicians, technologists, and operators have raised over $125M to date investors like a16z, General Catalyst, GV, and Accel and enjoy multi-year runway.

About The Role:

We're building the AI and clinical services stack to make preventive, connected healthcare accessible for everyone in the US. We deliver hybrid care (in-home + virtual) powered by an AI platform that unlocks the seemingly impossible: broad reaching care across 25+ states, serving 70%+ of the US population that’s always-on and very margin efficient. This core care delivery foundation has also opened up the door to major enterprise AI offerings that further cement the value Sprinter can provide. Because of our differentiated offering and impact, all of the major health plans in the country are proud customers. With 2M+ patients and 90+ NPS, we're rapidly scaling our impact far beyond where we are today. Our team of engineers, AI scientists, clinicians, and operators is backed by investors including a16z, General Catalyst, GV, and Accel that have backed companies like Devoted Health, Abridge, Livongo, Benchling, Stripe, Ramp, Airbnb, Cursor, Instagram, and Databricks.

Your mission, if you choose to accept:

As a Senior Product Manager, Clinical Platform, your true north star will be to increase patient access to Sprinter Health services by building the platform for composable, configurable healthcare that is the foundation for AI-native healthcare and impact at scale.

Every service we deliver, in every state, by every type of clinician, is composed from a small set of primitives. You will own those primitives: the validated patient record, the service catalog and the composition grammar that defines what a service requires and how services combine, and the authoring surface that lets a range of users stand up a new care pathway without filing an engineering ticket. You will have a broad impact surface area across 25+ states, 2M+ patients, first-party and contracted clinical supply, health plan customers, and a growing roster of clinical vendor partners.

You are the key architect, builder, and strategist of this layer.

Some problems you will get to work on:

  • Defining how care composes at a platform level: What a service requires, what it produces, and how services combine across licensure, modality and supply source. This is the object that decides whether our tenth care pathway takes a month of engineering or an afternoon of configuration.

  • Making the patient record trustworthy: You will be the single writer of the validated record and patient identity: what we know about a patient, and whether we can trust it. You own the schema, the validation rules, and every integration that writes into it. Healthcare brings its own alphabet soup to this (FHIR and LOINC among it) and we will teach you that part.

  • Building the authoring surface for non-engineers and AI agents: Clinical strategy composes a new pathway, partnerships configures a new partner, and neither files a ticket. AI agents compose a bespoke patient pathway with zero engineering changes in any team.

  • Owning our extended networks platform: You will be DRI for an exciting new initiative where we are bringing external clinical partners on-platform to expand our reach from a geography and service mix perspective while ensuring the same level of impact, quality, and patient experience of our first-party offerings.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable at the strategic level (owning multi-year vision + roadmap), energized by the compounding work of getting an abstraction right, and unbothered by the fact that your best work shows up as other teams shipping faster. Fair warning that this role says no a lot: five teams consume your grammar and all five will want something different from it this quarter.

There’s no ceiling for impact or growth in this role and there are additional leadership and management opportunities depending on experience level.

What you have done:

  • Proven track record: 6+ years of product management experience, including at least two owning platform, infrastructure or API products that other engineering teams built on.

  • Configurability, as a requirement and not a preference: You have taken hard-coded behavior and abstracted it to make it data-driven and configurable. You can tell us what you parameterized, what you deliberately refused to, and what broke when a config was wrong.

  • Modeling and contract judgment: You have designed a core entity and its lifecycle, shipped versioned interfaces, and deprecated something other teams depended on. You have seen both failure modes: the rules engine only its authors can operate, and the model so rigid that every new partner needs code.

  • Platform experience, healthcare optional: What matters is that you have built where a misconfiguration had real, auditable consequences in high stakes environments: money movement, safety, compliance, access control. Payments and fintech infrastructure, identity and security, logistics, and multi-tenant marketplaces all translate directly.

  • Culture carrier: Preferred development and growth path is by ambitiously setting vision, prioritizing, and driving impact as a team with a true north centered on patient impact. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and scrub-in across team needs, even when they sit outside of your role description or job title.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Startup experience, especially those that have gone through rapid growth.

  • Shipped a rules engine, policy editor, or pathway builder that non-engineers used in production.

  • A favorite Lord of the Rings character.

What you will do:

  • Clinical platform vision, strategy, and roadmap: Own the canonical layer: the validated patient record and patient identity, the service catalog and composition grammar, and the authoring surface built on top of them across human and AI agent users.

  • Extended networks platform ownership: Serve as DRI for external clinical partners, owning the partner integration platform and driving the coverage outcome across the teams.

  • Contracts as a product: Publish and version the interfaces several internal and external teams depend on, and run migrations and deprecations without stalling their roadmaps.

  • Broad stakeholder engagement: Partner with clinical strategy, partnerships, and our AI research teams as the configurators of your surface, external clinical partners as operators inside it, and executive sponsors at our health plan customers as key stakeholders.

The interview Process:

  • We aim to complete the interview process between 2-3 weeks. It will usually consist of:

  • Recruiter Screen (30-Minutes)

  • Hiring Manager Introduction (30-Minutes)

  • Technical Assessment (45-Minutes)

  • Onsite Interview (3-hours)

  • References

What we offer:

  • Meaningful pre-IPO equity

  • Medical, dental, and vision plans 100% paid for you and your dependents

  • Flexible PTO + 10 paid holidays per year

  • 401(k) with match

  • 16-week parental leave policy for birthing parent, 8 weeks for all other parents

  • HSA + FSA contributions

  • Life insurance, plus short and long-term disability coverage

  • Free daily lunch in-office

  • Annual learning stipend

Hybrid & Office Experience

We operate on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays designated as work-from-anywhere days.

We care deeply about work-life balance and are happy to provide flexibility when life happens. We ask that employees be in the office Monday through Thursday to collaborate with their teams while maintaining flexibility where it matters most.

Lunch is provided every day, and the entire team takes an hour to eat together. It's one of the ways we stay connected outside of meetings. You'll usually find us playing a board game before getting back to work.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
