Role: Senior Product Manager - Business Decision Support

We are seeking a strategic Senior Product Manager to own the product lifecycle for our Business Decision Support products. Business Decision Support is an advanced financial costing suite that meets a healthcare system’s unique needs to highlight abnormal costs and provide more accurate, precise, and consistent answers.
The Senior Product Manager’s role is to ensure our products drive to outcomes improvement. The Senior Product Manager will accomplish this through creating and prioritizing the detailed features and functionality of each of our applications. This position will work collaboratively with stakeholders to define the high-level roadmap and transfer it into a list of actionable requirements and development tasks to ensure our products meet the needs of the market.
The team uses agile development practices for new development and for refactoring and enhancing existing software.
What you'll own:
· Develop and manage product roadmaps with input from users and business owners
· Define and prioritize the delivery of features and functionality
· Groom and prioritize backlog
· Write user stories and user acceptance criteria
· Participate in standups, retrospectives, design reviews, and demos
· Partner with User Experience team members on product design
· Answer questions from developers; clarify requirements
· Responsible for all materials that accompany a given product, including documentation of features, release notes, product descriptions, etc.
· Work cross-functionally to develop application/product training, including technical and end-user documentation
· Assist in other duties as listed below;
- Synthesizing the market and competitive dynamics
- Executing on product strategy
- Managing the long-term roadmap (epics and prioritization)
- Managing client development partners/advisors
- Supporting non-technical organizations, including sales and marketing
- Collaborating with other product line managers
- Assisting on sales calls and RFP responses
What you bring:
· Passionate about learning and understanding new areas
· Proven ability to take the best ideas from dozens of sources and refine them into a clear set of deliverables that will meet our users’ needs
· Ability to think strategically, understand market opportunities, and build cases for investment
· Ability to innovate
· Experience with issue & product tracking software (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira)
· Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
· High comfort level interacting with colleagues at various organizational levels and with varying levels of technical ability, including highly technical product development team members
· Strong sense of customer service to address customer needs consistently and effectively
· Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information and adhere to data security and confidentiality protocols and procedures
Preferred Experience & Education
· BS/BA in technology, business, or healthcare related degree
· 5 to 10 years of experience in product management or another related field
· Knowledge of the healthcare and technology industries
· Experience in Software Product Management or Development
· Experience in an agile development environment
Nice to Have
· Product Management certification, MBA, or other advanced degree in business, finance, or engineering
· Experience in and an understanding of hospital or ambulatory operations and costs
· Finance experience
Information Security and Compliance Responsibilities
· Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security.
· Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy.
· Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.
