Postscript is an SMS and messaging platform purpose-built for ecommerce brands on Shopify. We make it easy for merchants to grow revenue, build loyalty, and engage customers through text messaging. Tens of thousands of Shopify stores use Postscript to drive meaningful relationships with their customers.
We are building a brand-new AI product and are looking for a Senior Product Manager, AI to lead it from concept to market. This is a greenfield opportunity: you will define what the product is, who it serves, and how it works. You will partner with machine learning engineers, prompt engineers, product designers, and product engineers to ship an AI-native experience that creates transformational value for Shopify merchants.
All positions at Postscript are fully remote.
Primary Duties- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for a new AI product, from discovery through launch and iteration
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap grounded in deep customer understanding and AI/ML feasibility
- Partner with MLE and prompt engineering to evaluate AI model capabilities, define guardrails, and design human-in-the-loop experiences
- Design and run rapid experiments to validate hypotheses about AI-powered features and customer value
- Write clear product specs, success criteria, and evaluation frameworks for AI features (including accuracy, safety, and user trust metrics)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, CSMs, and leadership to ship and iterate
- Develop and maintain a competitive understanding of the AI landscape in ecommerce/SMS
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for the AI product vision
- 5+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years working on AI/ML-powered products
- Direct experience taking a product from zero-to-one (greenfield builds, not just incremental optimization)
- Experience in ecommerce SaaS, martech, or messaging platforms is highly preferred
- Deep technical fluency with AI/ML concepts: you can discuss model architectures, prompt engineering, evaluation metrics, and data pipelines with engineering partners
- Strong product intuition for when AI adds real value vs. when it doesn't — you are not an AI hype person, you are an AI pragmatist
- Demonstrated ability to ship fast, learn from data, and iterate — you prefer shipping v1 over perfecting a PRD
- Excellent written and verbal communication; you can make complex AI concepts accessible to merchants, CSMs, and executives
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) to amplify your own PM work
- You have built something with AI tools — a prototype, a demo, an internal tool. You don’t just spec; you ship. Bonus if you can show us.
- Salary range of USD $150k-$206k base plus significant equity (we do not have geo based salaries)
