About the Job

As a Senior Product Designer at Splitero, you'll join our Product & Engineering team and take end-to-end ownership of the design lifecycle for our homeowner-facing experiences—including our website, homeowner portal, and marketing channels.

This is a high-impact, craft-focused role for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional digital experiences and who thrives as a hands-on designer. You’ll collaborate closely with product leads, engineers, and stakeholders across the business to shape intuitive, elegant, and high-performing user interfaces and experiences that educate and drive value for our homeowners. You will work on crafting exceptional user experiences, working directly with front-end engineers to deliver projects that are polished and elevate the Splitero brand and product across the industry. As our first full-time product designer, you will have a direct impact on many of our homeowner-facing and internal projects alike.

As a Senior Product Designer at Splitero, success will cover a few key areas:

  • Our homeowner experience—from first visit to return logins—is seamless, clear, informative, and branded.
  • You’ve shipped multiple high-impact features and UX improvements that drove engagement and reduced user confusion.
  • There is a well-documented, scalable design system in Figma that’s trusted by engineering and marketing teams.
  • Product, engineering, and marketing teams consider you a critical thought partner in feature and homeowner experience planning.
  • Stakeholders trust your taste, judgment, and ability to make design tradeoffs.
  • You have established and built partnerships with contracted teams and organizations to scale our design delivery systems when needed.

If you’re someone who lives in Figma, obsesses over pixel-perfect execution and scalable design systems, and wants to own the full design journey in a fast-paced, product-driven company—this is your role.

The salary range for this position is $120,000-140,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in product, UX, and UI design with a strong digital portfolio that demonstrates deep craft and attention to detail.
  • Mastery of Figma. You know its advanced features, component structure, prototyping tools, and how to scale design systems within it.
  • A strong UX mindset and user research intuition—knowing how to design with empathy and structure. Understand the strategy surrounding homeowner needs using research, feedback, and market analysis
  • You have a strong background in product design and desire to explore marketing support further when needed, including sponsorship brand placements, video and animation, direct mail, and traditional media.
  • You are comfortable managing 2-3 design projects with varying delivery timelines at once.
  • A bias toward execution—comfortable shipping frequently and refining quickly.
  • Proven experience designing customer portals, marketing websites, and mobile-first experiences.
  • Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and performance implications.
  • Experience working with Salesforce design systems for Lightning Web Components is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in small, fast-moving teams.
  • Experience working with engineers on implementation and marketing teams on creative assets and digital strategy.
  • Comfort balancing strategic thinking with executional excellence—you can zoom out and zoom in.
  • Desire to participate in fast-paced early-stage startup
  • Adaptability: Embraces changing circumstances with resiliency and positivity
  • Team-Oriented: Prioritizes collaboration, inclusivity, and teammate support

About Us

Millions of homeowners in today’s economy are sitting on substantial home equity they are unable to access due to rising interest rates and strict qualification requirements of traditional lenders. That means millions of homeowners can’t convert their hard-earned equity into cash to pay off debt, start a home renovation, or pad their retirement to better their lives.

Splitero co-founders Michael Gifford and David Zvaifler witnessed the problem firsthand throughout their real estate careers. They set out to create a win-win product that could help those homeowners access their home equity but not make monthly payments or add additional debt like traditional financing options. And thus, Splitero was born.

As part of our team, you will join our quest to revolutionize the real estate industry while helping families in need. We offer a suite of benefits designed to help you thrive in all areas of life.

  • Fully Remote Team - Our remote-first culture allows us to hire the best people, regardless of location.
  • OneTeam Culture - We foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and inclusivity, where every voice is heard and every team member is valued. We believe in celebrating our successes, doing the right thing, and helping each other so we grow as a team and as individuals.
  • Generous Resources - We want to ensure you are set up to do your best work. In addition to a solid tech stack, and access to any WeWork location, you will receive a monthly cell and internet stipend.
  • Premium Healthcare - We offer comprehensive healthcare plans for you and your family, which employees are eligible for on their first day.
  • Flexible PTO and Parental Leave - We offer a generous PTO and encourage employees to take time off to recharge. We're proud to offer a parental leave policy that allows you to welcome your new addition without worry.

We are a workforce composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds, abilities, minds, and identities. In keeping with our commitment to inclusion, we will ensure that people with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodations are required when applying, interviewing, or performing the essential functions of this position, please contact People Operations, at [email protected].

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
