About the role

Join as a Senior Product Designer on the Brand Experience team and create visionary user interface models, visual assets including illustrations, motion prototypes, and visual presentations. This role serves as a bridge between Product Design, Brand Marketing, Engineering, and Design Systems to create outstanding brand moments across the Zillow brand experience. The road is ready for you to drive within the Design Operations organization and shape experiences used by millions that continue to push Zillow to be the most-loved place for movers and Real Estate professionals.

Responsibilities 

  • Define and evolve brand's visual language, motion, and guidelines for digital products.

  • Set visual design, illustration, and motion standards, driving quality and consistency.

  • Own product illustration and iconography strategy and execution.

  • Envision and articulate the future of the company's digital brand experience.

  • Develop and maintain design system components, patterns, and interactions.

  • Create inspiring mockups, prototypes, and design artifacts that translate brand identity into a compelling UI for web, email, and native platforms.

  • Manage multiple design projects independently, delivering quality results.

  • Provide guidance to design partners to ensure the consistent application of brand guidelines..

  • Communicate and advocate for established visual design standards.

  • Champion brand expression throughout the user journey by partnering with product, engineering, and marketing teams, as well as external partners, to ensure seamless brand integration and consistency.

  • Foster a culture of design excellence and learning.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $145,500.00 - $232,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 5-7 years of experience in product, visual, UX design, or similar roles

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong visual design expertise, a deep understanding of typography, color, digital executions, and great user-centered design solutions.

  • Strong skills in Marketing & Brand Design including illustration, motion design for interactive experiences, and high-fidelity product prototyping

  • Expertise concepting, iterating and executing final illustrations and icons

  • Expertise in Visual Design and defining visual languages

  • Excellent visual communication and storytelling abilities

  • Proficient in Design System thinking, cross-platform scalability, UI/UX standards, and Accessibility

  • Experience designing for high traffic native app, web and email

  • Highly proficient in Figma, Adobe Suite, and related design and production software

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Effective cross-team collaborator with the ability to work across multiple creative projects
