Welcome to the world of Agent Experience Agent/Operator Platform, where we’re all about crafting experiences tailored specifically for agents and photographers. Our mission? To help supercharge agents and photographers with the tools they need to dazzle buyers, sellers, and dreamers with listings that stand out above the crowd. One way we make this happen is with the Agent Platform. We are building powerful tools that streamline and centralize how listing agents, buyer’s agents, and their teams manage and market their listings through a full end-to-end lifecycle, freeing them to focus on what matters most - their client relationships and service.

About the role

This Senior Product Designer will focus on our Agent users, specifically within the Agent Platform. They are responsible for understanding customer needs, developing ideas and direction, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding experiences for our agents and photographers. Our mission is to make Zillow the most-loved place to discover, buy, sell, or rent a home, and our agent and photographer partners are an important part of that mission.

This is an opportunity to work on a part of the business that generates a significant portion of Zillow’s revenue and executes against our top priorities. The complexity of the B2B2C space presents unique challenges that will be exciting for the right candidate. The role involves thinking strategically about how we optimize an agent’s workflow through the agent tools and experiences we deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Design digital experiences for web, iOS, Android, and operator platforms

  • Work closely with product managers, researchers, content designers, and engineers

  • Propose, test, and evaluate ideas that improve Zillow customer experiences

  • Lead design activities like journey mapping, co-design sessions, prototyping, design critique, and user testing

  • Present design work and regularly engage with partners for feedback

  • Advocate for customer needs throughout the design process

  • Understand our business model and learn about real estate agents and their goals/pain points

  • Lead projects independently and deliver high-quality work on time

  • Be a multiplier and a bar-raiser for the team in terms of the quality of our shipped experiences

  • Contribute, learn, grow, and have fun

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $145,500.00 - $232,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Please submit a portfolio and resume with your application

  • 5–7 years as a product designer, user experience designer, or similar role

  • Strong design, organization, planning, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Experience developing partnerships and working reliably with diverse, cross-functional teams, managing tradeoffs between business, technical, and user needs, and managing conflicts

  • Experience identifying customer insights through user research and discovery activities

  • Experience developing design strategies that address customer and business problems

  • Ability to articulate the strategy and benefits to the end user when sharing design decisions

  • Clear and concise communication about design process, contributions to projects, and their impact

  • Experience crafting products and services using human-centered design principles

  • Experience shipping products that get meaningful results for customers and businesses

  • Experience making effective decisions and managing design project work

  • Examples of high quality interaction and visual design work in a design portfolio

  • Examples of critical thinking, creativity, and risk-taking in design projects

  • Expertise with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools
