Description
Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior Product Designer, Mobile to join the Product Design team.
Why join Sprout’s Product Design team?
Design is in our DNA at Sprout, from our best-in-class products and award-winning user experience, to our elegant customer journey and the systems that power our teams. We’ve built a Product Design program centered on the pursuit of growing leaders and tailoring growth paths to individuals—recognizing that every designer is at their best when they’re challenged to grow in ways that map to their unique strengths and opportunities. Supported and challenged by a diverse and connected design community, and armed with an expansive human-centered toolkit, our talented creative problem solvers demonstrate the true power of design to drive business impact, and lead their teams to see social differently.
What you’ll do
- Build beautiful, helpful and easy-to-use native mobile experiences that power human connection.
- Partner with designers, engineers, product managers, marketers, data scientists and senior executives to lead the design of experiences that span multiple teams, setting direction and working with minimal oversight
- Create wireframes, detailed designs, interactive prototypes, UX flows, and hand-off specifications to demonstrate ideas, present solutions and achieve alignment in your throught process
- Flex your understanding of our business, users and industry to spot opportunities to improve our product and practice, not just deliver what is asked of you
- Lead by example in stewarding and contributing to both our global design system and native mobile UI components, all while upholding our standards of inclusive craft and culture
- Establish yourself as a visible and trusted design leader, modeling the same empathy, curiosity, and resilience that you expect from your peers and partners.
What you’ll bring
As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll bring a honed UX generalist toolkit, passion for the craft, and a growth mindset. You’ll come with an aptitude for solving complex mobile problems and delight in all of the details of great design. You’ll be eager to swap skills with smart, ambitious, and caring teammates who want to build great things together. You’ll own the experience of key areas in our software, leading across teams to deliver not only what is asked, but what will solve a need and deliver value. From project kickoff to release, you’ll have a strong point of view in the direction of what we make, how we make it, and how we tell its story. You’ll put all of your design skills on display. Even better: you’ll learn new ones along the way. You’ll show up eager to add your voice to our Product Design community as an active participant in team critique and culture, and a budding mentor to designers following in your path. You’ll generously contribute to a healthy, authentic, creative community of practice because you understand that that’s where strong product building starts.
The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 5+ years of experience designing and shipping products and features from inception to launch with a significant focus on mobile design
- A honed set of full stack craft skills (UX design, UI design, information architecture, research, UX writing)
- Demonstrated experience leading across teams and disciplines to deliver unified, cross-device and cross-platform experiences
- Expertise in leveraging native mobile UI patterns to solve complex product problems
- A portfolio that showcases not only what you’ve shipped, the measurable impact it had
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- A mission for garnering customer love and experience, leading research practices to ensure we aren’t just shipping product - we’re shipping value
- Experience designing mobile apps for web-based, SaaS products
- Confidence in exercising divergent and convergent thinking, with the ability to create and rally a team towards a strategic direction
- Evidence of systems thinking and contributions to a design system
- A commitment to pushing yourself and others to always be growing
