At Flip, we’re building the leading employee app for frontline teams—used by companies like Bosch, Porsche, and McDonald’s. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the experience of millions of workers in manufacturing, logistics, retail and beyond. We’re looking for someone who’s not only a great designer but also a strong systems thinker and collaborator. You’ll partner with PMs, engineers, marketers, and customer teams to create elegant, intuitive, and accessible product experiences that solve real-world problems—without adding complexity.

What you’ll do
  • Own and drive the end-to-end design process for a product area—from early discovery to polished delivery
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering in a cross-functional R&D squad
  • Lead and contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across Flip’s mobile and web apps
  • Conduct user research, testing, and usability reviews to inform design decisions
  • Proactively identify and tackle UX debt and continuously advocate for improving the overall Flip experience
  • Help shape how we work as a design team by mentoring others and sharing best practices
  • Act as a thought partner to stakeholders across the business—from go-to-market to customer success
What you bring
  • 5+ years of experience in product design (UX/UI), with a portfolio that shows strong systems thinking and attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience designing for mobile (iOS and Android) and web in a B2B SaaS context
  • A strong foundation in user-centered design, with the ability to turn complex problems into simple, delightful interfaces
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
  • Clear, thoughtful communication skills to advocate for your designs in cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid setup
  • Fluency in English is a must; German is a plus

At Flip, we design for the people who keep the world running—and we believe great design can empower every employee to do their best work. If that excites you, we’d love to hear from you.

What we offer you
  • Home Office Friendly: Decide for yourself where you want to work every day.
  • Modern city offices in Stuttgart and Berlin or 100% remote: Both are possible with us, we at Flip have a hybrid work model.
  • Work-Life-Balance: We don't want you to grow roots to your desk chair. That's why we cover the costs of your E-Gym-Wellpass membership and offer job bike leasing.
  • Celebrating success: Expect highly motivated and committed people in a relaxed working atmosphere.
  • Be part of something bigger: You actively shape Flip in your role. Along the way, you are an enabler of the rapid growth process of a young tech company and grow towards your goals, fun is guaranteed.
  • Happy to be a Flipster: Stay tuned for regular team events and culture days that bring us together as Flipsters.
  • Working abroad: At Flip you can also work abroad in the European Union. Let's talk about remote work in the interview.

At Flip, everyone is welcome - no matter what gender you identify as or how old you are. Sexual identity, origin, religion, world view and disabilities do not influence your potential job at Flip. The most important thing is that YOU fit in!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
