As a Senior Product Designer on the Guard team, your main focus will be designing features that enhance the current cloud security offerings to meet enterprise-grade capability and experience standards.
You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and security experts across the US and Australia, while reporting to a Design Manager based in Australia.

To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $161,100 - $210,325
Zone B: $145,800 - $190,350
Zone C: $134,100 - $175,075
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end design for critical cloud security features.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research partners across time zones to deliver solutions that meet enterprise-grade standards.
- Translate complex security requirements into intuitive, scalable, and delightful user experiences for admins and end-users.
- Conduct user research and usability testing with enterprise customers to deeply understand their needs and pain points.
- Champion customer-centric design, ensuring our solutions unblock cloud migration and drive adoption for large organizations.
- Contribute to the design system and help shape the future of security UX at Atlassian.
- Mentor and support other designers, fostering a culture of feedback, learning, and continuous improvement.
Your background
- 5+ years of experience designing complex SaaS or enterprise products, ideally in security, identity, or admin tooling.
- Proven ability to lead design for technically challenging domains and deliver high-impact features at scale.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, from discovery and research through to polished UI and shipped features.
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep empathy for users-especially admins and security professionals-and a passion for solving their toughest problems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to cross-functional partners.
- Familiarity with Figma, user research methods, and agile product development.
- Bonus: Experience with security, authentication, or compliance products.
- Bonus: Experience design for AI and with AI as part of your design workflow.
