Who We Are
Ontic makes software that corporate and government security professionals use to proactively manage threats, mitigate risks, and make businesses stronger. Built by security and software professionals, the Ontic Platform connects and unifies critical data, business processes, and collaborators in one place, consolidating security intelligence and operations. We call this Connected Intelligence. Ontic serves corporate security teams across key functions, including intelligence, investigations, GSOC, executive protection, and security operations.
As Ontic employees, we put our mission first and value the trust bestowed upon us by our clients to help keep their people safe. We approach our clients and each other with empathy while focusing on the execution of our strategy. And we have fun doing it.
Who You Are
We’re seeking a Senior Product Designer who thrives on solving complex problems and creating intuitive, elegant experiences for enterprise users. You will play a critical role in shaping the UX of our sophisticated applications used by professionals in high-stakes, data-rich environments. This is an opportunity to design tools that power real business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead Design for Key Product Areas: Own end-to-end design for core parts of our B2B product suite—from research and ideation to execution and launch.
- User Research & Problem Framing: Collaborate with PMs to uncover user needs, workflow pain points, and mental models across complex personas and use cases.
- Interaction & System Design: Translate complexity into clarity with user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed interaction specs grounded in user behavior.
- Data Visualization & Dashboards: Design clean, powerful ways for users to interact with structured data, dashboards, and system alerts.
- Design Systems: Contribute to and help evolve our design system to support scalability, accessibility, and consistency across product lines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to iterate quickly and build high-quality solutions that meet real-world business needs.
- Mentorship & Design Culture: Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of feedback, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 to 8 plus years of product design experience, with significant time spent on enterprise or complex B2B tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to simplify complicated workflows and data-heavy interfaces.
- Proven experience designing for SaaS power users in industries like logistics, security, or operations.
- Fluency in Figma (or equivalent) and rapid prototyping tools; bonus points for experience with motion design or front-end basics.
- Deep empathy for users combined with sharp business and technical intuition.
- Excellent storytelling, written communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field preferred.
