As a Senior Product Designer – Channels (Mobile Experience), you will help shape the end-to-end mobile member experience across Humana's digital channels, creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences that help members accomplish their goals anytime and anywhere. You will play a key role in advancing Humana's mobile-first strategy, designing experiences that strengthen member engagement, increase digital adoption, and create seamless interactions across web, mobile app, SMS, notifications, and emerging channels.

Through exceptional design execution, user-centered thinking, and cross-functional collaboration, you will create experiences that simplify complex healthcare interactions and enable members to easily access information, complete key tasks, and stay connected throughout their healthcare journey.

In this role, you will partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content strategists, and business stakeholders to deliver cohesive omnichannel experiences that drive meaningful outcomes for members and the business. Your work will contribute to improving member satisfaction, mobile engagement, digital self-service adoption, retention, and overall experience quality across Humana's digital ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio demonstrating impactful digital product outcomes

  • Experience designing mobile-first consumer experiences, including native iOS and Android applications

  • Strong expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and mobile UX patterns

  • Experience designing end-to-end customer journeys that span multiple digital channels and touchpoints

  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma

  • Solid understanding of user research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into effective design solutions

  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, research, analytics, marketing, and business stakeholders

  • Strong communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on design execution

  • Demonstrated success using design to improve customer and business outcomes such as engagement, adoption, retention, conversion, satisfaction, or operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing mobile products within healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries

  • Deep understanding of native mobile platform guidelines, interaction models, and accessibility standards for iOS and Android

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles, particularly for older adults and diverse populations

  • Experience designing omnichannel experiences that connect mobile, web, communications, and customer support touchpoints

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems, pattern libraries, and scalable UX standards

  • Experience facilitating design workshops, cross-functional alignment sessions, and collaborative design activities

  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and data-informed design practices

  • Experience leveraging mobile behavioral analytics and engagement metrics to inform product and design decisions

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$86,300 - $118,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
