LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote-friendly. This is a hybrid role and requires regular on-site presence at our client's office in Los Angeles. The preferred candidate should be based in Los Angeles, with working hours that align to PST.

THE ROLE:

Are you motivated by visioning big ideas and turning them into solutions that deliver on business and customer value? Do you have analytical superpowers? Does the idea of collaborating with a top-notch multidisciplinary UX, design & technology team to build digital products excite you?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Consultant to join our LA-based team, and organize digital product development for our clients and ensure high ROI. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Connected TV (CTV) apps, from shaping the vision and defining requirements to development, launch, and optimization. You'll be responsible for delivering a seamless user experience, driving ROI, and ensuring ongoing product performance and alignment with client goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of the user-end product design for Connected TV (CTV) apps, ensuring an optimal and intuitive user experience.
  • Collaborate with other product managers to align strategies across CTV, mobile, and web platforms, creating a cohesive cross-platform experience.
  • Build and champion product strategy and vision throughout client engagements, while inspiring and guiding internal teams to deliver on that vision.
  • Gather and analyze input from users, stakeholders, and internal teams using research methods and workshop facilitation to shape product features and requirements.
  • Develop product plans and roadmaps with buy-in from executive stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed product requirements documents (PRDs), ensuring all client, business, user, design, technical, and non-functional needs are clearly captured and communicated.
  • Organize product releases and prioritize workstreams to meet business value expectations.
  • Define measurement plans and recommend analytics approaches to assess product use and user impact—continuously building your skills across analytics tools.
  • Ensure features are delivered to spec, defects are resolved, and products are ready for launch.
  • Make data- and research-driven recommendations to evolve product strategy and expand impact.
  • Add value as a consultative partner by using your strategic insight, business acumen, and customer focus to drive ROI and move the product vision forward.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You bring prior experience in building apps for TV.
  • You have strong business judgment and understanding of current digital trends and technologies.
  • You are capable of detecting the main projects, initiatives, and epics that must be executed to achieve the expected business results.
  • You are an effective communicator and facilitator, and are able to successfully manage expectations.
  • You are experienced with backlog management, sprint planning, and roadmapping exercises, and you are able to generate spaces and workshops to define approaches and align solutions.
  • You are a creative leader, a team player, and a problem solver.
  • You are professional, confident, and able to understand which ideas will and which won’t work.
  • You have proven yourself in a consultation role, through Agency, Consultancy, or other Professional Services Firm. You have strong proficiency in stakeholder management.
  • You’re good at techie speak and non-techie speak. You’ve collaborated in multidisciplinary teams, are able to convey technical concepts to non-technical people as well as turn business, UX, design requirements into technical specifications.
  • It’s easy for you to break down complex problems into logical, digestible steps
  • Ambiguity doesn’t scare you, and you thrive on turning ambiguity and conflicting information into clarity in a fast-changing environment.
  • You have a portfolio of digital products that you have shipped, managed and operated, and are proud to share how it delivered value to end users.
  • You have done it before, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Management role or similar position.
  • Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 USD per year

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
