SailPoint is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to be a key member of the Product Operations team. The Senior Product Analyst will be responsible for providing meaningful insights on the value and performance of the full spectrum of SailPoint products. Their analysis and in-depth data storytelling will help steer product innovation and provide a deeper understanding of customer value.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Combines disparate data sources to construct and communicate a deep understanding of the product and customer utilization.

  • Help build a strong data culture through clear dashboards, regular reporting share-outs, and analyst lead product reviews

  • Works closely with engineering to establish data sources and pipelines and in the validation and maintenance of the generated data

  • Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new product opportunities. 

  • Identify, design and test new KPIs,

  • Leads the defining of metrics to unify cross-company reporting and measures

  • Researches and validates customer value realization

Requirements:  

  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Analytics, or Data Science

  • Proven record of successful metric-driven product impact in collaboration with product and engineering teams

  • Very strong critical thinking and analysis skills. Ability to take an ambiguous problem and use data to identify goals and clear metrics, and drive a team to deliver on those goals

  • Advanced SQL skills and database experience (Redshift, Snowflake)

  • Strong data visualization skills (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Qlik)

  • Experience in Python or R

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for driving change with a collaborative leadership style

  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and across multiple functions

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, finance or related field, or equivalent experience

Roadmap for success

30 Days:
  • Follow Product Analytics Onboarding and request access to tools and services. 

  • Connect with Key Business Partners to begin understanding and documenting their specific reporting and analytics needs.

  • Work with the specific engineers for your product area and collaborate with our internal data team to understand and establish needed data streams into our reporting systems

90 Days:
  • Independently construct and maintain custom dashboards based on the requirements of your business partners.

  • Begin presenting reports and insights for your specific product area in weekly deep-dives, quarterly business reviews, and bi-weekly org wide insight meetings.

  • Become the point person for our Customer Success Management team and CSM Ops team managing the dashboards and pipelines that feed key business metrics.

365 Days:
  • Be the data expert on your specific product area so that you can deliver strategic insights to help steer the future product enhancements and developments.

  • Drive new analytics initiatives that incorporate A/B tests and statistical analysis to uncover deep insights and lead deep exploration.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$86,000 - $122,900 - $159,800

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
