About Zip

Zip is the AI platform for enterprise procurement — built for humans and agents working together. By orchestrating procurement across teams, tools, and suppliers with the help of AI agents, companies can secure the resources they need to innovate faster than ever before.
The world’s most influential enterprises trust Zip, including T-Mobile, OpenAI, AMD, Mars, Dollar Tree, and more. Together they’ve saved over $8 billion and processed over $500 billion in spend. Zip’s team includes product leaders from Apple, Airbnb, and Meta, as well as former procurement leaders from United Health, Sanofi, MGM Resorts, Discover, and NASA.
Backed by Adams Street, Alkeon, BOND, CRV, DST, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator, Zip has raised $371 million, most recently at a $2.2 billion valuation and has been recognized by Forbes Fintech 50, Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, Inc. Best in Business, and LinkedIn Top Startups.

Please note we are looking for someone who is willing and able to come into our downtown San Francisco office on a hybrid basis (3 days / week).

Your Role

We're hiring a Senior/Principal Product Manager (experience dependent) to lead Zip's Contract Orchestration product, one of the company's newest and most strategic bets. Buy-side contracting is still broken: reviews and redlines live in email threads, signed agreements disappear into shared drives, and requesters call the process a black box. Zip's customers execute over a million contract reviews a year and most of them are routine agreements. We just launched AI Contract Orchestration to take that work off legal and procurement, and there is far more to build.

You'll own the vision and strategy for one or more areas of this product, end to end and with a high degree of autonomy. The category is established, but Zip has an edge: as the front door for procurement, we see every contract with clean intake data on the requester, spend, category, and risk, so our AI can review clauses, propose redlines, and route work on real context rather than the document alone. As PM, you'll balance different users' interests throughout the contracting process (procurement, legal, finance, requesters, suppliers), and you'll own the quality bar that lets legal trust AI with language that carries real liability.

You Will
  • Set the vision and multi-quarter strategy for Contract Orchestration, with a clear, opinionated view of where we beat incumbent CLMs

  • Ship AI that does the work: clause analysis, playbook-grounded redlines, contract generation, triage and routing, and metadata extraction accurate enough to trust

  • Own the full lifecycle, from intake and negotiation to the repository, contract families, renewals, and contract-to-spend compliance

  • Work directly with customers to ship features that reduce contract cycle times and increase contract visibility and compliance

  • Build agents and own the AI quality bar end to end: evals, guardrails, and feedback loops

  • Roll up your sleeves wherever the team needs it, from user research to reviewing extraction quality on a customer's contracts

Qualifications
  • 4 - 8+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, owning ambiguous, high-impact areas end to end

  • Deep experience partnering with engineering and design to ship sophisticated products with a great user experience

  • Experience with workflow or document-heavy enterprise products

  • A track record of setting product strategy and influencing cross-functional partners and leadership without direct authority

  • Experience shipping AI or ML features where accuracy is non-negotiable, including how you measured and improved quality

  • Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders, including executives

  • Extreme attention to detail, with the ability to quickly grasp complex business processes and industry knowledge

  • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly, even if it may disappoint customers or stakeholders

The salary range for this role is $190,000 - $280,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
