As a Senior Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology (CT), you will provide expertise to enhance and develop our data platform using modern cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Databricks). You will collaborate with colleagues across the organization to promote best-in-class outcomes and achieve the target state architecture goals.
Job responsibilities

  • Create durable, reusable data frameworks to meet the needs of the business
  • Establish architectural best practices, governance models, and design patterns that support enterprise-grade solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies that align with long-term goals
  • Mentor and coach junior architects and technologists
  • Champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and respect
  • Remain up-to-date of industry trends and emerging technologies


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on data management concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering cloud solutions with focus on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in microservices, containerization, and event-driven architectures
  • Advanced knowledge of application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Experience building new expertise and demonstrates ability to appropriately apply in solutions for complex architecture problems
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives and uncover business challenges and develop solutions to solve them
  • Communicate effectively with business leaders, application developers and systems technology experts
  • Define target state architectures, and develop transition plans for achieving target state
