Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game "Poppy Playtime".  This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands.  To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occured since the game's launch 4 years ago. 


We are seeking a multi- experienced Console Engineer that has experience with Unreal Engine, C++, and most importantly, Console Porting. You will work on the team of console porters and prioritize game quality and timeliness above all else. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project codebase and perform performance optimizations.
  • Work within a department of console developers to ensure on time tasks and meet milestones.
  • Assist with release administrative tasks such as certification, submission, and dev portals.
  • Provide valuable feedback on technical solutions and systems within our games. 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience shipping titles on all major platforms (Xbox, Playstation, & Nintendo platforms).
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine’s Blueprint visual scripting system.
  • Expertise in C++ programming language, networking, and graphics optimizations.
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine Subsystems, including Gameplay Ability Systems, Network Replication, and Platform Development Tools.
  • Familiarity with Engine level code in the Unreal Platform.
  • Knowledge of porting platform requirements (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo).
  • Excellent communication skills and adeptness at time management, ability to mentor junior programmers.
  • Able to rapidly solve complicated scenarios and gain knowledge of our games. 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Android, IOS porting pipeline and implementation
  • Experience with Sequencer and/or AI
  • Experience developing first-person horror puzzle games
