Purpose

We are looking for a Senior PLM Engineer to join our Enterprise Applications team to support the design, configuration, customization, architecture, and optimization of Siemens Teamcenter PLM. This role is key to enabling efficient and scalable engineering and will be instrumental in delivering our vision of a seamless digital thread spanning engineering, operations, and other critical functions.

The Role

PLM Solution Architecture & Development

  • Design, configure, and maintain Siemens Teamcenter environments, including data model extensions, workflows, access controls, and integrations.
  • Lead solution architecture discussions to ensure alignment with enterprise systems (ERP, MES, CAD, QMS, etc.) and digital thread objectives.
  • Develop and deploy Teamcenter modules such as Structure Manager, Workflow Designer, Change Management, and Manufacturing Process Planner.

Integration & Data Management

  • Define and implement integrations with CAD (NX, SolidWorks), ERP, MES, and other enterprise applications.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for data governance, configuration management, and BOM management.
  • Support migration projects, including data mapping, cleansing, and transformation.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a technical advisor and escalation point for all Teamcenter-related issues.
  • Lead cross-functional PLM project teams from discovery through development, testing, implementation, and adoption.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Continuous Improvement & Support

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve user experience, and optimize system performance.
  • Develop technical documentation, training materials, and SOPs.
  • Support production environments through root cause analysis and resolution of complex issues.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of hands-on Teamcenter PLM experience
  • Proficiency in BMIDE, ITK, SOA, and Rich Client/Active Workspace configuration and customization
  • Experience with NX CAD integrations
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and PLM best practices
  • Ability to document and communicate technical and functional configurations and customizations clearly
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across engineering, operations, and other critical functions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Easy Plan, Opcenter, and Mendix
  • Experience in a manufacturing or high-growth hardware/software business
Work Environment
  • This is an on-site role located in our Torrance, CA headquarters.
Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels of Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Principal Engineer as evaluated through our interview process. 

  • Senior PLM Engineer / E05: $122,400 - $168,300
  • Lead PLM Engineer / E06: $141,400 - $194,400
  • Principal PLM Engineer / E07: $163,300 - $224,550
Pay Range
$122,400$168,300 USD
