As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll provide key technical contributions and service ownership within the engineering department for group assessment, responsible for building and operating software services supporting various internal customers.
In this role you will get to:
- Work with engineering and product leaders to analyze, estimate, adjust, and implement functionality.
- Build observable services and support their operation in production.
- Coach and mentor engineers on your team and across the department.
- Ensure that code quality is high – incorporating best practices including unit and integration tests, and that service quality meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work closely with product management to understand the product, to suggest and evaluate tradeoffs, and solicit feedback early in the implementation cycle.

- Mastery of native AWS service development using serverless, distributed, event-driven, and cost-effective scalable techniques, across well-defined and testable service boundaries.
- Experience with development in Python is a must. Experience with C#, node, and/or Typescript is appreciated.
- A DevOps-focused mindset of building services that are observable, scalable, and high-quality.
- Strong time management skills, with an ability to manage priorities and balance across multiple tasks and activities.
- Strong communication skills, and can clearly and concisely set expectations and provide direct feedback as needed.

Compensation: Compensation: A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $155,000 - $175,000 USD plus applicable bonus. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
