Compensation: Our target hiring range is $127,500 - $150,000 plus participation in our Annual Bonus Program with eligibility for a $12,000 bonus. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Location: Our employees have the option to work 100% remotely or their choice of days at home and at our office in Boulder, Colorado. We host a variety of all-company hybrid meetings and social events. We require anybody working remotely to have a very reliable, high-speed internet connection.

About the Role: 

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Engineer with the ability to execute on work, be innovative, and provide technical expertise in Platform Security, build pipelines, automation and Cloud Hosting. There may be occasional after hour on-call support required.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will:

  • Directly contribute to the technical excellence of the Engineering department, and move it forward with new ideas, technologies and solutions
  • Support engineering delivery teams with code first deployments and build pipelines
  • Proactively identify technical problems and propose and/or implement solutions
  • Mentor and help engineers grow in their careers
  • Use Agile methodologies and help promote great organizational practices
  • Be part of a collaborative culture in line with Campminder’s six core values: Own It, Wonder, Give Joy, Put Team First, Be Admirable, Find A Better Way 

We think a successful candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of experience in hands on Software Engineering, DevOps and/ or Platform Engineering
  • Experience building and implementing PaaS solutions
  • Past experience modernizing legacy VM based platforms into Cloud native workloads 
  • Hosting experience with .NET (legacy, Core), JavaScript (legacy frameworks, React, Node) and Golang systems
  • Scripting using a language such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
  • Previous experience writing code with C# or Javascript preferred
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • At least 4 of the following:
    • CI/CD Automation with GitHub Actions or Azure Devops Pipelines
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or Bicep 
    • Cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure (also AWS or GCP)
    • Kubernetes (AKS, EKS) and container orchestration
    • Modern Delivery Practices such as Agile, Kanban, or Lean
    • Observability & Monitoring, including tools like Datadog
    • Platform & Network Security best practices
  • Experience creating and maintaining Networking Infrastructure such as setting up private networking, DNS, VPNs, and SSL Certs 
  • The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders such as Tech Leads, Product Managers and Engineering Managers in various mediums, including synchronous and asynchronous formats
  • Excellent skills managing workloads, goals, and timelines for yourself
