POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Pharmacy Business Analyst sits at the intersection of data and business execution within our pharmacy services organization. This role translates complex operational and financial data into clear insights, dashboards, and recommendations that drive decisions across pharmacy service lines.

The analyst partners directly with business line leaders to identify performance trends, diagnose root causes, and support execution. This is a high-visibility role that requires both analytical rigor and business fluency to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across 340B/retail and specialty pharmacy operations.

Schedule: Full Time/ REMOTE

Performance Monitoring & Insight Generation

  • Monitor KPIs across assigned business line to identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop hypotheses on drivers of performance change
  • Proactively surface insights to service line leaders — not waiting to be asked
  • Translate data findings into clear business language and actionable recommendations

Dashboards & Reporting

  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that translate warehouse data into operationally actionable views
  • Pull and structure data from the enterprise data warehouse using existing tables and views
  • Develop executive-facing slides and briefs that tell a clear, concise performance story
  • Own recurring performance reports end-to-end, including QA and distribution to stakeholders

Business Partnership

  • Serve as an embedded analytical resource for assigned service line leaders
  • Translate business questions into analytical frameworks; translate findings back into business language
  • Support planning cycles, operational reviews, and ad hoc strategic requests from leadership
  • Partner directly with Finance, Operations, and Clinical teams to drive execution on identified opportunities

Cross-Coverage & Collaboration

  • Maintain working familiarity with the adjacent business line to provide coverage and consistency
  • Collaborate with counterparts to align methodology, definitions, and reporting standards
  • Partner with the data analytics team responsible for data warehouse table and view preparation

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Analytics, Health Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in business analytics, FP&A, performance management, or a similar analytical role required.

Must have demonstrated experience building dashboards and translating data into leadership-facing insights in a complex, matrixed environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

M.B.A or another advanced master’s degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, business-fluent, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment. They connect data to decisions and bring intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset to their work.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Tableau (required) able to build clean, insight-forward dashboards independently
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying enterprise data warehouses (required)
  • Advanced Excel skills; able to perform complex analysis and modeling
  • Strong PowerPoint and slide storytelling — able to build polished, concise leadership-facing outputs

Analytical Capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to move beyond reporting — root cause thinking, trend identification, and knows what the number means for the business
  • Ability to structure ambiguous business questions into clear analytical frameworks
  • Comfortable synthesizing large datasets into concise and actionable insights

Business & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong business partnering instincts — knows when a dashboard is the right output and when a conversation is
  • Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations directly to senior and VP-level leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deliver quality work under deadline pressure
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive communication style
  • Highest level of integrity; able to handle sensitive financial and operational data with discretion.

Compensation Range:

$78,000.00- $113,000.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness. In addition, BMCHS offers generous total compensation that includes, but is not limited to, benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), discretionary annual bonuses and merit increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family well-being.
