Senior Performance Marketing Writer
Why We Have This Role
We’re hiring a Senior Performance Marketing Writer to turn data into words that drive the sales pipeline. You’ll create high-converting ad copy, landing pages, and email sequences that directly influence lead generation for field, partner, demand-gen, and growth programs. You’ll report into our Global Head of PR and Content Marketing and work closely with PR, field & partner marketing, demand gen & growth marketing, media buyers, designers, and video producers to make campaigns measurably better. This role is hands-on, cross-functional, and central to how we scale Qualtrics’ marketing impact.
This role differs from traditional copywriting: you’ll develop and test messaging across channels with a primary focus on engagement, conversion, and overall campaign performance. You’ll translate audience insights and business objectives into messaging that drives action across ads, landing pages, emails, websites, and nurture flows — testing and iterating to maximize engagement and conversion.
How You’ll Find Success
- Writes concise, persuasive copy that converts across paid search, paid social, display, email, and landing pages.
- Uses data to iterate: builds and evaluates A/B tests, interprets CTR/CPA/ROAS, and applies learnings quickly.
- Collaborates effectively with media buyers, designers, web/dev, and video teams to align creative and measurement.
- Maintains consistent brand voice while tailoring messaging for funnel stage and audience segment.
- Prioritizes work based on impact to lead generation and marketing KPI improvements.
- Communicates test results and insights clearly to stakeholders and recommends next steps.
- Treats copy as a performance discipline — designs and tests messaging across paid and owned channels to improve engagement and conversion, including websites and nurture flows.
How You’ll Grow
- Deepen expertise in conversion science and multi-channel performance marketing across enterprise software.
- Expand leadership and influence by partnering with field, partner, and demand teams on strategic campaigns.
- Broaden creative scope into long-form messaging, landing page optimization, and video scriptwriting.
- Gain experience presenting data-driven recommendations to senior marketing and GTM leaders.
Things You’ll Do
- Drive pipeline: Create and optimize copy that improves lead generation metrics for field/partner and demand-gen programs (ads, emails, landing pages, CTAs).
- Test to learn: Design messaging A/B tests and multivariate experiments; analyze outcomes and iterate to increase CTR and conversion rates.
- Align creative to channels: Produce short-form ad copy, email sequences, and landing page headlines/bodies that match media strategies and creative assets.
- Turn data into recommendations: Monitor performance dashboards (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads/Analytics), synthesize insights, and prioritize copy changes with measurable impact.
- Cross-team enablement: Provide copy and messaging playbooks for field & partner marketing, demand/growth teams, and for video assets (e.g., scripts/short-form captions used in product tours).
- Maintain brand integrity: Ensure all performance copy adheres to Qualtrics voice while tailoring language for audience segments and campaign goals.
- Write and optimize messaging across campaigns and channels — paid ads, landing pages, email campaigns, websites, and nurture flows — primarily supporting demand gen and field marketing programs.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- Proven track record of conversion-focused copywriting with clear, measurable outcomes (e.g., improved CTR, decreased CPA, increased MQL-to-SQL conversion).
- Experience writing across paid search, paid social, display, email, and landing pages — and translating learnings across channels.
- Strong data fluency: comfortable interpreting dashboards and using results to drive creative decisions.
- 12+ years in performance copy, conversion optimization, or digital marketing (agency or in-house; enterprise SaaS experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience supporting pipeline generation and working closely with demand-gen, field, or partner marketing teams.
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks and familiarity with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and web analytics tools.
- Portfolio of short-form and long-form performance copy (ads, email sequences, landing page examples, and any video scripts).
