The Senior People Business Partner will drive HR processes for R&D teams, managing employee relations, cyclical programs, and compliance while partnering with leadership.
The Senior PBP will step in to support FloQast’s growth during a parental leave, driving key HR processes for our Research & Development (R&D) teams. You’ll take charge of cyclical people programs for R&D groups, handle employee relations, and be the go-to for managers’ daily questions—ensuring smooth operations and a positive employee experience. Partnering with HR leadership, you’ll keep us compliant, solve issues fast, and champion FloQast’s culture in a high-energy, fast-moving SaaS environment. This is a temporary role with big impact—no supervisory duties, just hands-on execution.
Please note this will be a 1099 fixed term US based remote contract paying $65-$100 per hour with expected 40 hours per week from approximately October 13, 2025 to January 16, 2025.

What You'll Do:
- Drive Cyclical HR Programs: Partner with leaders to deliver the full range of recurring talent programs, including talent planning and promotion cycles. Lead engagement survey follow-up by helping leaders interpret results, identify insights, and build meaningful action plans. Strengthen leadership effectiveness by equipping managers with tools and guidance that align with company priorities, ensuring every cycle is executed with consistency, fairness, and strong collaboration across R&D leadership.
- Manage Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace conflicts, and sensitive investigations. Ensure issues are handled fairly, consistently, and in compliance with company policies and employment laws, while partnering closely with R&D leadership to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Lead Strategic People Initiatives: Partner with leaders on career ladder alignment, policy and program rollouts (e.g., engineering on-call), and compensation and bonus planning in collaboration with Finance.
- Partner with Leadership: Strategic thought partner on org design, workforce planning, leadership development.
- Coach Managers: Build leadership capabilities in feedback, communication, and team effectiveness.
- Identify Trends & Insights: Monitor data and manager feedback to proactively surface risks/opportunities.
- Support Change Management: Advise on org changes, comms, and culture alignment.
- Culture Champion: Reinforce values and ensure programs strengthen engagement.
- Flex with Business Needs: Jump in on strategic PBP initiatives as they arise.
- Keep Us Compliant: Stay on top of employment laws, ensuring R&D policies align, and recommend quick fixes to HR leadership when gaps pop up.
- Jump In: Tackle ad-hoc HR tasks or projects as they arise, from process tweaks to one-off manager requests.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: 7+ years in PBP or related roles, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or technology company, with proven success driving cyclical HR programs and partnering with leaders on strategic people topics.
- Strategic Partnership: Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, advise on organizational design, and align people strategy with business priorities.
- Change Leadership: Experience supporting teams through organizational shifts, with strong skills in communication, stakeholder alignment, and culture reinforcement.
- Analytical & Insightful: Ability to interpret data and trends to diagnose issues, propose actionable solutions, and measure impact.
- Coach & Advisor: Skilled at strengthening leadership effectiveness through feedback, coaching, and enabling managers to lead high-performing teams.
- Communicator: Clear, direct, and empathetic communication skills, able to tailor messages for executives, managers, and employees.
- Collaborator: Positive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions.
