In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Pension Plan Management: Provide operational management of the company's supplemental pension plans, acting as the primary point of contact for pension providers, external pension administrators and internal stakeholders. This includes managing the relationship with external providers, overseeing the plan administration, reviews of providers and investment funds, as well as ensuring compliance with local regulations in each country.
- Communication & Engagement: Develop and implement pro-active communication strategies to enhance employee understanding and engagement with pension plans. This includes creating educational materials, conducting presentations, and addressing employee queries concerning pensions and retirement savings plans.
- Governance & Compliance: Manage regular pension governance reviews and oversee all aspects of the pension operations ensuring adherence to governance requirements. Stay abreast of legislative changes impacting pensions across the EMEA region and implement necessary adjustments. In particular, act as a subject matter expert for the Netherlands Future Pension Act, ensuring compliance and effective change management.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including HR, Finance, Payroll, and Legal, to ensure seamless pension plan management and a joined-up approach to benefits delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with external pension providers and advisors.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, best practices, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities to enhance the company's pension offerings and ensure they remain competitive and relevant for our workforce. Monitor benefit plan performance and recommend changes where necessary to improve cost-effectiveness.
- Project Management: Collaborate with the wider People team on projects related to pensions and broader financial well-being programs, ensuring a consistent and high-quality service is provided to our employees. This may include initiatives such as implementing new pension schemes, savings vehicles or enhancing existing ones.
Your background:
- Proven experience managing defined contribution pension schemes, including understanding the operational plan administration, compliance and governance requirements, and any external reporting.
- Solid understanding of pension and retirement regulations across EMEA region (especially for the Netherlands, UK, Poland, Germany and France) including knowledge of local legislation and reporting requirements.
- Strong experience in benefits communication and employee engagement, with the ability to explain complex pension concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strategic thinker, influencing and persuasion skills and comfortable working in a global team that both welcomes and challenges new ideas.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of finance and metrics management and reporting.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Finance preferred
