About Abacum

Abacum is the leading Business Planning solution for finance teams to drive performance. By automating reporting, enabling collaboration, and simplifying planning and forecasting, we help finance teams shift from number crunching to driving strategic decisions.

Founded in 2020 by two former CFOs, we’ve grown into a global team of 100+ people across 30+ nationalities. Headquartered in New York, we have offices in Toronto and Barcelona. We’re trusted by industry leaders such as Dish Networks, Strava, BetterUp, Kajabi, JG Wentworth, Abridge, Cortex, and hundreds more.

We have raised over $100m, closing in June 2025 our $60M Series B, led by Scale Venture Partners, with the strong participation of Cathay Innovation, Y Combinator, Atomico, Creandum, and angel operators from Adyen, Zapier, and Twitch.

Our mission is ambitious and we can’t do it alone - join Abacum as we build the future of Business Planning!

About the Role

Partners are one of Abacum's fastest-growing areas of growth and we're investing to make them even more strategic.

As a Senior Partner Account Manager, you'll own a portfolio of our most strategic technology and advisory partners in North America. That includes the ERPs, accounting platforms, and finance-stack companies whose customers are Abacum's best-fit buyers as well as key advisory firms who help customers transform their finance operations. You'll turn our partner relationships into repeatable, measurable pipeline and successful joint customers.

This is a senior individual contributor role on the Partnerships team, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and our Partner Solutions team.

What you will do
  • Own a portfolio of technology and advisory partners across North America, from recruitment and contracting through activation, GTM execution, growth, and executive-level relationship management.

  • Build and maintain joint business plans with each partner. Each plan will cover the shared ICP, target accounts, pipeline, ARR, and services goals, and an operating cadence to hold both sides accountable.

  • Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline by co-selling with our AEs through joint account mapping, target-account planning, shared pipeline reviews, and multithreaded relationships on both sides.

  • Drive the enablement of partner sales and technical teams on Abacum's value, positioning, and core use cases, in collaboration with Partner Solutions, so their teams can confidently identify, refer, and support opportunities.

  • Enable Abacum's AEs to sell with partners: when to engage them, how to run a co-sell motion, and how to jointly manage sales cycles and build field relationships for mutual benefit.

  • Partner with Marketing on joint go-to-market programs such as webinars, events, co-branded content, integration marketing, and targeted campaigns with partners.

  • Help shape how Partner Operations and the Abacum Partner Program scales, including tiering, incentives, playbooks, reporting, and the processes that make partner-led growth repeatable.

  • Work with Product and Partner Solutions on integration roadmaps and joint value propositions and bring partner and market feedback back into the business.

What You Bring
  • 8+ years in partner management, channel sales, alliances, or business development at a B2B SaaS company managing systems integrators, advisory firms, or consulting partners, including 4+ years in a pipeline- or revenue-accountable partner role.

  • A track record of turning technology and advisory partnerships into sourced pipeline and closed revenue, not just integrations, logos, and press releases. Partnerships with ERP, accounting, HRIS, or other Office of the CFO platforms as well as FP&A advisory and system integrators are ideal.

  • Experience in the CPM, EPM, or FP&A software space, or selling to finance leaders, is strongly preferred. Strong EPM sales experience without partner experience will also be considered.

  • Proven success co-selling alongside AEs on complex, multi-stakeholder mid-market and enterprise deals.

  • Confidence building and presenting joint business plans to partner executives and holding partners accountable to their commitments.

  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills, and you're comfortable in the room with partner leadership and CFOs.

  • An analytical, operationally rigorous approach. You're fluent in Salesforce, partner attribution, and pipeline metrics. Experience with PRM tools is a plus.\

  • Based in the US and able to travel for partner meetings, prospect meetings, and industry events.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation including equity package

  • Competitive vacation policy

  • Medical Insurance

  • L&D budget

  • Access to Meditopia (wellbeing platform)

  • Language courses (English / Spanish)

Our Values

Customer Obsession: We share the understanding that Abacum's sole purpose is to create value for customers and relentlessly deploy all creativity and energy to that end.

Audacious Ambition: We dream big and embrace discomfort. We assume risks, make on-time mistakes and learn how to methodically accomplish our goals.

Good People: We are self-reflective and praise diversity of thought. We don't justify the end with the means and know where to draw the line. We have fun every day.

Tough Love: We truly care for everyone in the team and embrace honest feedback and radical candor as ways to genuinely help each other.

Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, or disability status.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
