About the Role

Allogene is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal support to the Legal Department, with a focus on contracting. The individual will have primary responsibility for supporting the Company’s contracting processes and contract management systems. This position will work closely with in-house counsel, senior executives, and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be capable of supporting the negotiation, execution, and administration of various agreements; independently managing recurring processes; identifying opportunities for improvement; and helping develop scalable contract systems appropriate for a publicly traded biotechnology company. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Corporate Counsel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, review, and edit routine agreements, including confidentiality agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, supply and vendor agreements, master service agreements and associated work orders, material transfer agreements, and clinical trial agreements.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including intake, assignment, negotiation tracking, approval, execution, renewal, amendment, and archiving, through contract management systems and databases.
  • Support counsel and internal clients with contract redlines, revisions, approvals, and communications with counterparties.
  • Assist with the ongoing development of standard form agreements.
  • Assist with due diligence, corporate transactions, and internal or external inquiries.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Legal Department policies, standard operating procedures, training materials, and internal guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  • At least 5 years of relevant paralegal experience, preferably in the life sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing contract workflows and contract management systems.
  • Experience reviewing confidentiality agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, supply and vendor agreements, master service agreements and associated work orders, material transfer agreements, and clinical trial agreements.
  • Ability to communicate directly and professionally with directors, executives, outside counsel, and cross-functional leaders.
  • High degree of discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive and highly confidential information.
  • Experience improving processes, developing templates or playbooks, and implementing legal operations tools.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and related software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The expected salary range for this role is $130,000 - $155,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
