Position Summary:

At managed.com, we're a remote-first, global team. We're also AI-first, so finding practical ways to use AI is part of every role here.

As the Senior Paid Media Manager, you will own paid media strategy and hands-on execution across the managed.com portfolio of brands. This senior individual contributor will manage budgets, campaigns, testing, attribution, and reporting to improve customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth while partnering with content, SEO, web development, marketing leadership, and external agencies.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and execute paid media strategies across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, X Ads, and other relevant channels
  • Plan, allocate, and optimize annual six-figure advertising budgets across paid channels to meet business goals and improve return
  • Set campaign KPIs, monitor pacing and performance, and report results and optimization recommendations to leadership
  • Manage keyword research, competitive analysis, bid strategies, and campaign structures across audiences, regions, and devices
  • Develop and refine audience targeting using first-party and third-party data
  • Create and refine ad copy and creative, and run A/B tests across advertisements, landing pages, and campaign concepts
  • Analyze customer journeys, conversion paths, and campaign attribution to identify and implement performance improvements
  • Use the company’s internal AI-connected paid media system and other practical AI workflows to review performance, streamline work, and support optimization decisions
  • Partner with web development to improve conversion tracking and landing-page performance, including work involving GA4 and Google Tag Manager
  • Coordinate paid and organic search strategies with content and SEO partners
  • Develop and maintain controls that reduce click-fraud risk
  • Manage external agencies and vendors and share paid media best practices with the broader team
  • Support other tasks or projects as assigned to meet team and business needs

About you:

  • 5+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns, including at least 2 years in a senior role
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing paid media platforms and personally managing annual advertising budgets of six figures or more; strategy-only or agency-oversight experience is not sufficient
  • Expert knowledge of paid search, paid social, display, and remarketing, with the ability to translate business goals into effective campaigns
  • Advanced analytical and attribution skills, including the ability to use customer-journey and campaign data to improve conversion paths and performance
  • Ability to design and interpret A/B tests involving ad copy, creative, and landing pages
  • Strong skill in writing and refining effective ad copy and creative that aligns with brand messaging
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM systems; experience with comparable platforms is acceptable
  • Experience with, or a demonstrated interest in, using AI to streamline workflows, review performance, and support campaign optimization
  • Careful project management, clear recommendations, and effective presentation of performance data to leadership
  • A record of working independently, following through from idea to results, identifying performance or tracking issues proactively, and keeping remote partners aligned
  • Availability to work with US Eastern Time or similar hours and provide sufficient overlap for collaboration with colleagues in North America and Europe when needed
  • Experience with web hosting, SaaS, or similar B2B technology products is a plus.
  • Additional assets include Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certification, experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager, familiarity with WordPress or a comparable CMS, and experience working remotely.
  • Communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English, with other languages considered an asset

What we offer:

  • Remote-first work, with team members across many countries
  • Competitive pay, benchmarked against the markets we hire in
  • Room to grow, with real ownership of your work and support for professional development
  • Flexibility in how and when you work, within the core hours your team needs
  • Access to the AI tools you need to do your work, and the room to experiment with them

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
