Capital Group has been providing investment solutions to Canadian investors since 2000, with portfolios offered by Capital International Asset Management (Canada), a Capital Group affiliate.

The Senior Operations Specialist plays a key role in the day-to-day operations. You will establish and enhance the oversight framework to satisfy adherence to regulatory requirements and investment guidelines. You have experience building out a consistent approach in monitoring outsourced services (internal and external) and working closely with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations. This role will provide opportunities to participate in projects which may include the launch of new funds, series, and programs as well as compliance-related initiatives.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 7 years of Operations Management experience
  • You have investment operations, fund administration experience
  • You have experience with reporting and analytics to support cross functional teams.
  • You have experience handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • You have the ability to develop and manage internal and external relationships
  • You have strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • You have superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • You have experience in participating / leading projects regarding process improvement
  • initiatives.
  • You have an analytical mindset with the ability to work with data and numbers
  • You have intermediate level experience in MS Excel (pivot tables / look ups / formulas)
  • Previous experience with operational governance and Canadian regulatory compliance an asset
  • Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) a plus.
  • Experience with SQL query language a plus.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
