What does a Senior Manager - Creative Operations do at WPP Production? 

The Senior Operations Manager, is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and driving strategic initiatives across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring efficiency, consistency, and scalability in service delivery, operational processes, and team performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in operational leadership within a creative or production agency environment, with experience implementing systems and managing complex, multi-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and evolve business operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Build, scale, and refine operational frameworks to support business growth.
  • Ensure effective execution of processes across departments with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Oversee system implementation and management, including operational tools, platforms, and infrastructure.

Resource & Performance Management

  • Lead resource planning, allocation, and optimization across teams.
  • Establish and track KPIs to monitor performance and drive accountability.
  • Leverage a strong resource management background to ensure workforce efficiency and adaptability to changing project demands.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with department heads to ensure streamlined communication and operational alignment.
  • Drive initiatives that improve workflow, productivity, and service delivery.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Act in a client-facing capacity, ensuring alignment with expectations, delivering solutions, and fostering long-term relationships.

Strategic Planning & Commercial Oversight

  • Participate in long-term strategic planning and annual goal setting.
  • Provide operational insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrate good commercial acumen by contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and margin optimization initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior operations role, ideally within a creative or production agency.
  • Strong understanding of operational systems, project workflows, and process design.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage systems across departments or teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholders
  • Experience in a client-facing environment with a consultative approach to problem-solving.
  • Commercially savvy, with experience managing budgets and driving efficiency.
  • Skilled in resource management, including planning, allocation, and performance oversight.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range: $110,000 - $165,000 Annually
