OPERATIONS AT NIGHT SCHOOL
At Night School Studio, our operations manager ensures the success of our studio through seamless operations and accountability. Reporting the Head of Studio this position is integral to the success of our game teams, partnering cross-functionally with our central teams and holding studio functions accountable to their deliverables.
ABOUT THE JOB
As Senior Operations Manager at Night School Studio, you’ll be focused on driving operational efficiency for our game teams, supporting them through development to live production. You will regularly engage and partner with Netflix cross-functional organizations. As our studio grows, you’ll help shape the fundamental strategies and tools to operate as a cohesive unit inside of Netflix Games.
Responsibilities Include
Ensure the studio is tracking to budget and managing the budget with the production team
Partner with internal Finance and Data Science teams to forecast resource needs.
Partner with senior leadership to drive the annual planning process, including production priorities and budgets of the studio and projects across our portfolio.
Work with internal stakeholders on external vendor sourcing, relationships, management, and business needs.
Build and maintain meaningful systems and key tools to streamline internal team resourcing and operational needs across multiple projects.
Continuously evaluate, identify, and seek to implement creative solutions for complex problems and/or issues with product development and internal operations across all projects.
Develop and maintain a framework and strategy to support existing in-market titles while aligning with new development priorities.
Partner with Studio Leadership and Talent partners to ensure a highly engaged and talent-dense team
Skills & Requirements
4+ years of operational management experience, preferably within a game development studio.
8+ years of game production experience with fluency in development methodology and best practices.
Have shipped at least 3+ games and strongly understand the process from inception to post-launch product support.
Strong fluency in game studio and project budgeting, resourcing, and forecasting.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with a passion for working with creative teams.
Skillful ability to solve complex qualitative and quantitative issues in the course of day-to-day work.
Nice to Haves
Business and Financial acumen
Experience working on game titles with long-tail content updates post-launch or a live service.
Multi-platform experience with consoles, PC/Mac, and mobile devices.
Clear and effective communication

Passionate about story-telling, video games, and video game development.
Strengths include being goal oriented, conscientious, tenacious, thoughtful, meticulous, and being a great listener, communicator and negotiator.
Self-starter willing to find or build solutions to all types of issues and willing to ask questions when needed.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.
