The Ocean Pricing Sales Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our sales executives across various branches with the aim of accelerating growth and ensuring a positive customer experience. This position requires strong communication skills, in-depth market intelligence and Freight Forwarding operational experience in a fast paced, dynamic Freight-Forwarding environment. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Act as the main point of contact between internal DP teams and client 

  • Collaborate closely with sales executives to assist in the development and execution of sales strategies, quoting, and account management 

  • Maintain regular communication with Sales Executives, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly 

  • Prepare and submit accurate and competitive quotations to clients, ensuring alignment with DP World's pricing and service standards 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and logistics to ensure a seamless service delivery to clients and excellent customer experience 

  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments expectations 

  • Contribute to customer QBR preparation and delivery 

  • Assist in training members of the team on systems and processes 

  • Develop scalable implementation programs for customer types 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High school diploma

  • Strong knowledge of Freight Forwarding operations and processes

  • Experience in managing & coordinating solutions, business changes and customer projects 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales and/or customer facing role within the Freight Forwarding industry

COMPENSATION

The expected base pay for this role is between $70,00-$75,000. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
