Salary: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 

At least 3 visits (per year) to the Chicago headquarters are required, including the final round interview. Please note candidates must be able, willing and excited to travel. 

*If you are based in the Chicagoland area, you’ll be required to work onsite for your first 90 days. After that, your schedule (in-office, hybrid, or remote) will be determined in alignment with performance and team needs.

Job Description

The Engineering team is looking for an experienced, solution-oriented Senior .NET Software Engineer to support our flagship product, ALIS (Assisted Living Integrated Solution). This is a purpose-driven role for someone who enjoys innovation, values technical excellence, and takes pride in building software that makes a real impact in senior housing communities.

The right person for this position will be a person of collaboration, pragmatism, and accountability.

What You'll Be Doing

Build & Architecture (~50%)

  • Architectural Vision: Build and develop technical designs for new features ensuring they are scalable and performant.

  • Build Awesome Solutions: Take a leading role in the SDLC, from initial design to deployment, setting the precedent for team standards.

  • Modernization: Enhance Medical Records and Resident Experience tools while driving insights through the DOMO platform.

Ideation & Mentorship (~30%)

  • Ideation & Problem Solving: Actively brainstorm creative and practical solutions to complex problems with the team.

  • Cultivate a Problem-Solving Mindset: Mentor developers on both the "how" and "why" of coding, guiding the team toward effective solutions.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and QA to bring curiosity and pride to every build.

Quality & Communication (~20%)

  • Code Review: Lead and participate in reviews to ensure the codebase remains high-quality, secure, and performant.

  • Technical Communication: Clearly articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • Ownership: Provide detailed development plans and high-quality estimates while communicating progress and blockers proactively.

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

  • 5+ years of experience working with a SaaS product.

  • 5+ years of ASP.NET programming experience with any of:

    • ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET MVC Core

    • ASP.NET Core Blazor

    • Entity Framework 6, Entity Framework Core, Dapper

  • Expert-level proficiency in C#.

  • Strong experience with SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, and performance tuning.

  • Proven track record of architecting and deploying cloud-native applications (Azure preferred). 

  • Bonus: Experience with Sentry, LinqPad, or Figma/Figjam
