Job Summary

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. Additionally, all team members may be called upon to support proposal efforts as needed. This could include resume formatting, providing skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, or contributing to solutioning activities based on subject matter expertise or functional experience. 

Responsibilities

In this position, you will lead cross-functional teams in providing software development activities in support of maintenance and enhancement of existing systems. You will assist with selecting cloud-native services based on client needs and align cloud capabilities with technical and business goals. Your expertise will ensure that we deliver high-quality development solutions, as well as plans for scalable and cost-effective cloud solutions to enhance our clients’ operational efficiency and technological advancement.

• Work cross-functionally in an Agile environment to develop applications using .NET architecture with a focus on Entity Framework and EF Core
• Assess on-premises applications and infrastructure to design scalable, secure and resilient solutions to determine the appropriate target cloud environments (Azure cloud or M365)
• Lead database migration strategy planning initiatives
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, migration runbooks and code, and technical documentation for planning, implementation, operation, and client handover
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security, governance, and accessibility standards


Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or equivalent)
• 7+ years of demonstrated experience with refactoring and migrating .NET Framework applications to .NET Core, including ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, WCF, and RESTful services
• Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git
• Experience with Azure migration planning with solid knowledge of Azure Cloud Services (e.g., App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Logic Apps, API Management, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of Azure networking and connectivity, including Azure Virtual Network, Azure DNS, and Azure Application Gateway
• Containerization experience on Windows servers with Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid knowledge of Scrum Agile development methodology
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Migration experience of on-premise .NET applications to Azure cloud
• Experience with managing API services in Azure Cloud
• Experience Typescript, JavaScript, Angular v16 or higher
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL, and/or Oracle
• Experience with Power Platforms
• Experience with EntraID, Active Directory or other identity and access management services

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This is a remote/work-from-home position. The employee is expected to maintain a professional and distraction-free home office environment with reliable internet access and the ability to participate in video and audio calls during standard working hours. Standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and webcam will be used regularly. 
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: 
    • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. 
    • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computer and telephone equipment. 
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving equipment). 
    • Ability to participate in virtual meetings and communicate clearly via video/audio platforms. 

 Travel Requirement

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
