As a Senior National Account Manager, Ulta you’ll be responsible for nurturing strategic partnerships with Ulta and Ulta Beauty@Target, as well as identifying new retail opportunities, negotiating best in class reciprocal retailer support, and thinking limitlessly to bring the Sunday Riley Modern Skincare brand to life in store and online. You’ll have a forward-thinking mindset which allows you to push boundaries and build game changing cross functional relationships. You will have proven experience working as an independent National Account Manager; will be highly numerate, target-driven, retail sales savvy, keen to find creative solutions to challenges and passionate about working in the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

Retail Partner Relationships

  • Create, in conjunction with retailers, seasonal programs to support the brand objectives across on line and brick & mortar channels.

  • Conduct successful negotiations on terms, pricing, distribution, space and location, in-store visibility, and marketing support with Buying and Merchandising teams.

  • Lead presentations of product newness and account reviews.

  • Oversee planning and execution of annual trade show opportunities to convey brand story and education on newness.

  • Build strong working relationships with Retail team, utilizing insight from the field and engaging the team in the execution of the sales, events and merchandising plans. Spend 10% of your time in the field reviewing execution & competitive opportunities.

  • Manage cross functional relationships in all aspects related to assigned account, such as visual merchandising, finance, etc.

Driving Performance

  • Build seasonal plans to maximize sales opportunities through launches, promotions and participation in retailer activations.

  • Create annual P&L’s in conjunction with Commercial Director to ensure necessary investments to deliver sales and profit objectives.

  • Monitor sales and expenses throughout the financial year and provide guidance on any changes required to ensure profit delivery.

  • Manage, monitor and optimize sales performance through analyzing results versus plans and deploying tactics to ensure achievement of goals.

  • Manage category and channel performance to identify retail opportunities and strategic need.

  • Monitor performance relative to brand ranking targets by channel and total account. Adjust strategy as necessary to ensure achievement of targets.

  • Manage forecasting in partnership with the Account Planner ensuring accuracy for NPD and core lines.

  • Collaborate with Account Planner on net sales forecasting for designated retailers, assessing risks and opportunities in a timely and quantified manner.

  • Identify opportunities to sell in additional revenue by assessing sell through.

  • Control and minimize the detrimental impact of returns and testers on profitability.

  • Lead monthly conference calls with retailers to review all business opportunities and issues.

  • Provide weekly account business recaps and monthly reporting detailing and analyzing sell-thru by SKU, ranking, productivity, stock & sales and competitive analysis.

Cross-Functional Working

  • Work closely with Operations, Visual Merchandising, Brand Marketing, PR & Social teams to create and deliver an annual plan for each retailer covering activation of key launches and marketing moments, events, store/retailer animation, considering both customer acquisition and retention.

  • Review implementation and performance or annual strategy vs expectations on a quarterly or appropriate frequent basis.

  • Align launch, animation and promotion plans with SRMS team – local and global - to ensure a consistent and phased plan across all retailers within the region, avoiding unnecessary conflicts of activity

  • Responsible for reviewing product assortment & sales productivity by sku and shelf to maximize productivity.

  • Work with visual merchandising to ensure all updates are executed in a timely manner and communicated to merchant team for retailer approval

Preferred Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and or comparable experience, preferably in the beauty industry; skincare experience a plus.

  • 2-4 years’ experience at a National Accounts Manager level, Ulta experience required.

  • IT skills -advanced level skill set in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, detail-oriented.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to think and perform creatively.

  • Proven ability to follow up and maintain timelines.

  • Flexible and adaptive attitude to changing business needs and a fast-paced work environment.
