Job DescriptionThe Senior Mutual Fund Pricing Analyst at Virtus Fund Services is responsible for overseeing nightly mutual fund accounting and pricing of securities—including complex investments. The role ensures accurate daily NAV and shareholder reports, prepares regulatory and management reporting for the Valuation Committee and Board, maintains controls and procedures for vendor tasks, and evaluates new vendors and investment types.
This position will be based on the West Coast, and it is essential that the candidate be located in the Pacific Time Zone (PST).
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Directs nightly fair valuations and secures committee approvals.
- Research complex corporate actions and restructures to determine fair valuation recommendations for timely approval by IM teams and Valuation Committee for nightly NAV.
- Conducts valuation-related back testing per regulatory requirements (rule 2a-5).
- Performs leveling classifications for financial statements and monthly NPORT Filings as required by ASC 820 regulation.
- Prepares management reporting for valuation committee and board.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience in finance or investment management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong regulatory understanding (ASC820, rule 2a-5, GAAP, Investment Company Act of 1940).
- Advanced analytical and technical skills (Excel, Access).
- Knowledge of various security types (equities, fixed income, derivatives, short-term investments).
The salary range is $100,980 to $123,420
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
