Senior Member of Staff, Client Software Engineering

MEMX is searching for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to work on an assortment of internal and external facing web applications. This person will play a key role in serving our customers and our business by developing applications that administer and support our core trading system. 

MEMX currently has a U.S. presence in these states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, & Utah.

What You’ll Do 

• Work on MEMX’s main product, the user portal to our trading platform, creating improvements and building products for internal and external users   
• Work with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand the complexities of our markets. This involves acquiring in-depth knowledge about the applications we create and the distinct needs they satisfy within the market. Our goal is to ensure that our solutions not only meet the current needs of our users but also anticipate their future requirements, ultimately enhancing our product offerings 
• Work with a team of experienced, high-performance developers and leaders to design best-in-class systems. 
• Architect, develop and maintain innovative solutions to deliver exceptional features and support to our customers, including our internal teams.

Requirements 

• 10 or more years of web development experience. 
• Experience architecting and supporting large applications
• Able to effectively dissect and devise solutions for complex problems.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior developers. 
• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a comparable discipline. 
• Proficient in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS; 
• Experienced in REST APIs, NodeJS, React, Angular, or an equivalent web framework, git; 
• Familiar with Gradle, CI/CD, GraphQL, and web development tools such as Babel and Webpack. 
• Strong professional and interpersonal skills including exceptional customer service, creative problem solving, and effective written and verbal communications. 
• Broad systems thinking – ability to understands the connections and relationships across functions and entities for both internal and external constituencies. 
• Experience with financial markets, distributed systems and/or high-performance web applications is a plus. 
• Ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to succeed as a self-starter in a dynamic environment.

Pay Range: $165,000 – $200,000 USD
