About the Role:

The Marketing Operations team is responsible for building the tools and capabilities that enable us to scale our marketing practice. That includes all we do with marketing systems, marketing services, data quality, sales alignment and more. The team provides strategic and tactical support to key projects at Motive that make it possible for us to grow. We collaborate closely with teams across the company - like enterprise systems, sales, product marketing, engineering and more.

As a our Marketing Operations Manager, you will administer and advance the entire MarTech stack, ensuring seamless, secure integrations and data consistency across platforms while translating diverse business needs into robust technical solutions. You will also drive the roadmap and development of innovative AI capabilities to elevate marketing team performance and content quality, partnering closely with stakeholders to design, deploy, and optimize central AI tools and processes. As a business owner for marketing data requirements, the manager will establish frameworks for data structure, access, and compliance in collaboration with IT and quality teams, championing change management, clear documentation, and organization-wide alignment throughout any evolution of tools or architecture.

This role is remote and based in Canada.

What You'll Do:
  • Own roadmap and development of AI functionalities for Motive’s marketing team 
    • Partner with marketing teams to develop AI driven processes to drive team efficiencies and quality of content
    • Enable marketing managers on central AI tools; Establish standard operating procedures for team members to ensure secure data use, quality outputs.
    • Work with GTM ops and marketing teams to develop requirements for standalone AI tools to develop AI components of martech stack
  • Administer, optimize, and document the marketing technology stack (e.g., CRM, automation platforms), 
    • Coordinate and oversee integrations between martech platforms and broader business systems, ensuring data consistency and security across teams.
    • Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, manage the development, deployment, ongoing management of and goal attainment of marketing tools.
    • Partner with the Marketing Ops team to deeply understand the business and our marketing opportunities and build the right tools and capabilities to address them 
  • Serve as business owner for marketing data requirements
    • Establish data structure, access, and business requirements in partnership with IT, data quality, and compliance teams to drive marketing initiatives
    • Lead change management and communication for updates to marketing data architecture or martech capabilities, ensuring clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience developing and managing a marketing technical stack and database; experience evaluating, selecting and onboarding tools is a plus
  • Minimum 1 years of hands-on professional use of AI platforms such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude etc. 
    • 2 years preferred; Practical application development is a plus
  • Strong platform management experience with a product management mindset
    • Excellent first principles problem solving skills
    • Cross-functional experience driving system changes
  • Past hands-on expertise managing and developing in Motive’s main GTM stack: Salesforce, 6sense, Marketo, Snowflake, Tableau; Some SQL experience necessary.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, demonstrated experience briefing senior leaders on outcomes & recommendations
Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The base compensation range for this role is:
$98,000$151,000 USD
