This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can design campaigns that resonate with C-suite decision-makers, corporate travel managers, and high-net-worth individuals. YOUR CHALLENGE:
  • Regional Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute tailored marketing strategies to strengthen Blacklane’s footprint in Western Americas and Canada, aligned with global brand and revenue objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Lead end-to-end planning and execution of multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, events, OOH, partnerships), ensuring creative excellence and ROI.
  • Market Insights & Analytics: Analyze customer behavior, competitor activity, and industry trends. Translate insights into actionable strategies and continuously optimize performance using KPIs and ROI data.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Collaborations: Build alliances with global corporations, premium travel providers, and hospitality groups to deliver value-added services for business travelers and expand Blacklane’s reach through co-branded experiences.
  • Content & Brand Messaging: Oversee development of premium, on-brand content for digital platforms, advertising, and local activations that resonate with luxury audiences.
  • Experiential & Event Marketing: Conceptualize and deliver exclusive events, sponsorships, and activations that build brand awareness and loyalty among affluent travelers and corporate clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, PR, Operations, and Product to ensure integrated campaigns and consistent customer experiences. Mentor and support junior marketing talent or interns when applicable.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Own and optimize the regional marketing budget, ensuring maximum return on investment.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Provide regular reporting on campaign results, highlighting key metrics, learnings, and recommendations for future activities.

ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced certifications a plus).
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within luxury, hospitality, mobility, or travel sectors.
  • Proven ability to create and execute region-specific marketing strategies that align with global business objectives, ideally with prior responsibility for managing a marketing budget.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong balance of creativity and data-driven decision-making to deliver impactful, measurable campaigns.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive messaging for premium audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the luxury and corporate travel landscape across the Western U.S. and Canada; existing network within relevant industries is a plus.
  • Expertise across digital channels including social media, SEO, paid campaigns, CRM, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
