Summary
We are seeking a Segment Marketing Lead to develop and execute integrated, insight-led marketing strategies for GeneDx’s BioPharma and Payor partner audience segments. This individual contributor role will span these 2 priority audiences and unify strategy, execution, and measurement across paid and owned channels to reach both prospective and existing partners. Role objectives include building brand and product equity, driving awareness, engagement, and adoption, and enabling commercial conversion. Responsibilities include end-to-end marketing plans, content strategy, audience segmentation, measurement plans, and sales enablement—delivered through cross-functional collaboration to support the success of existing partnerships, drive recruitment and volume, and execute impactful omni-channel initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute audience-centric marketing strategies and campaigns tailored to BioPharma & Payor partners, in alignment with the goals of the Biopharma Partnerships and Payor Access teams.
- Audience Segmentation and Persona Development: Define and refine audience segments using data-driven insights to develop detailed partner personas, ensuring tailored messaging and strategies that resonate with both prospective and existing partners.
- Content & Sales Enablement Strategy: Build a comprehensive content and enablement strategy that addresses partner needs, ensuring consistent, cohesive brand and product messaging across channels and sales tools. This includes pitch decks, talking points, conference materials, case studies, white papers, and other resources that support relationship growth and partner success.
- Campaign & Program Execution: Lead the development and execution of full-funnel, multi-channel programs targeting potential and existing partners. Tactics could include conferences and events, lead nurturing campaigns, digital ads, email, webinars, thought leadership placements, and targeted outreach. Integrate marketing programs into partner-facing activities and tools that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Channel Owners, Sales, Product, Product Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to align on messaging, partner targeting, and business objectives, ensuring marketing is tightly integrated with partnership priorities.
- Analytics and Measurement: Develop and execute measurement plans in collaboration with Marketing Analytics to track and analyze program performance, partner engagement, and contribution to commercial outcomes, optimizing strategies over time.
- Market Insight and Adaptation: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and partner feedback to identify opportunities, anticipate needs, and refine strategies in real time.
- Thought Leadership: Position GeneDx as a trusted partner in the BioPharma and Payor Access space by delivering compelling, data-driven, and partner-specific messaging that fosters long-term collaboration.

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with 3-5 years focused on the healthcare industry. Experience in Payor and/ or healthcare partner marketing is preferred.
- Proven success in B2B and product marketing of data products and services.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking with a proven ability to develop and execute data-driven marketing plans.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex clinical concepts into impactful, audience-friendly messaging.
- Proficiency in marketing technologies, including CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Experience with project management and project management tools like Monday.com.
- Highly collaborative, with a history of success working cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
- A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in developing and interpreting marketing metrics and KPIs.
