Want to help us help others? We’re hiring!

GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.

GoFundMe is looking for a Senior Marketing Events Manager to join our Experiential Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Experiential Marketing, you will own the execution of Collaborative — our annual flagship customer conference — and partner closely with the broader events team to support delivery across field and brand events.

This is a senior execution role for someone who brings deep conference experience, strong operational judgment, and the ability to lead complex, multi-track programs with many moving parts.

The Job

Flagship Event Execution

  • Own end-to-end execution for Collaborative, including production, vendor management, run-of-show, ancillary programming, and on-site leadership.
  • Manage all logistics across the full conference footprint — general sessions, breakouts, customer dinners, receptions, executive programs, and other ancillary events tied to the conference.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing stakeholders to align on audience targeting, programming priorities, and post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; proactively flag risks and keep cross-functional workstreams on track.
  • Ensure consistent brand standards across all Collaborative touchpoints.

Field & Brand Event Support

  • Partner with other events team members on execution across field marketing events, roundtables, partner activations, and brand programs.
  • Support logistics for sponsored third-party events, including booth setup, staffing, and promotional materials.
  • Localize event experiences to reflect audience needs and market context.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track event performance against defined KPIs — including attendance, pipeline influence, and engagement metrics.
  • Compile post-event recaps and surface insights that inform future programming and budget decisions.

Operations & Scalability

  • Manage vendor and venue relationships, including contract negotiation and day-of performance.
  • Build and maintain process documentation, project trackers, and cross-functional task lists that improve team efficiency and program scalability.
  • Mentor junior team members and contractors on execution standards and project management practices.

You

  • 5–8 years of experience in event marketing or experiential marketing, with direct ownership of large-scale conference execution (500+ attendees, multi-day, multi-track).
  • Proven ability to manage complex event logistics across a full conference footprint, including ancillary events, executive programs, and third-party activations.
  • Strong project management skills; able to run multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing detail or budget discipline.
  • Clear, proactive communicator who keeps stakeholders aligned and programs on track.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 30% of the time.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Swoogo, ClickUp, or equivalent tools.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, nonprofit technology, or a related sector.
  • Familiarity with building scalable event operations systems and post-event reporting infrastructure.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
