About the Role

Demandbase is looking for a Senior Manager of Events to own high-impact event programs that bring our customers, prospects, partners, and GTM teams together. This role will lead the strategy and execution for user summits, trade shows, and field events that build Demandbase awareness, deepen customer relationships, and drive measurable pipeline and revenue impact.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Own the strategy, planning, execution, and post-event optimization for Demandbase user summits, trade shows, and field events that support pipeline, customer engagement, and brand awareness goals. Use performance data and cross-functional leadership input to shape programs, stay hands-on through execution, and own results and ongoing improvements.

  • Build and manage the event plan for assigned portfolios, including event selection, sponsorship recommendations, audience strategy, budget planning, staffing model, onsite experience and post event plan.

  • Lead cross-functional planning with growth marketing, sales, customer success, partner marketing, product marketing, brand, creative, marketing operations, and executive stakeholders.

  • Translate company and GTM priorities into clear event objectives, success metrics, run-of-show documents, staffing plans, and follow-up motions.

  • Own event budgets for assigned programs, manage forecasts and actuals, negotiate with vendors, and identify trade-offs that improve attendee experience and business impact.

  • Lead event production and logistics across venue, registration, AV, booth design, sponsorship assets, speaker readiness, shipping, signage, swag, staffing, travel coordination, and onsite operations.

  • Set the standard for pre-event and post-event execution, including sales enablement, meeting generation, lead capture, lead handoff, and event follow-up.

  • Create post-event readouts that connect event investment to attendance, engagement, sourced and influenced pipeline, customer impact, learnings, and recommendations.

  • Develop scalable event playbooks, project plans, templates, vendor practices, and process improvements that help the events team operate more consistently.

  • Guide supporting team members, contractors, and agency partners by breaking complex programs into clear workstreams, assigning ownership, and removing roadblocks.

  • Directly source and evaluate hotels, event venues, and experience providers, lead vendor negotiations, and coordinate contract review to secure favorable rates and terms aligned with event goals, budgets, and attendee needs.

  • Lead end-to-end event production, coordinating internal teams and external partners such as fabrication, AV, venue operations, signage, staging, logistics, and on-site execution vendors for large-scale events.

What We Are Looking For
  • 8+ years of B2B event marketing experience, preferably in SaaS, enterprise software, ABM, martech, or another high-growth B2B environment.

  • Proven experience owning complex events end to end, including user conferences or summits, trade shows, executive programs, customer events, and regional field events.

  • Strong business judgment and comfort making decisions in ambiguous situations with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and changing timelines.

  • Demonstrated budget ownership, vendor negotiation, project management, and onsite leadership across multiple simultaneous events.

  • Revenue-focused mindset with experience partnering with sales and marketing operations to define goals, capture leads, support follow-up, and measure pipeline impact.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence executives, sales leaders, customers, partners, vendors, and internal collaborators.

  • Experience improving event processes, reporting, templates, or operating rhythms so programs become more repeatable and scalable.

  • Hands-on fluency with tools such as Salesforce, marketing automation, Asana, Bizzabo, ON24, or similar event and project management platforms.

  • Ability to travel for events and support occasional evening or weekend programs as needed.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
