The Opportunity:
The Senior Market Data & Research Analyst is a strategic analytics partner within the PMM organization, supporting both Upstream and Downstream teams with clear, data-driven market intelligence.
This role analyzes syndicated data, retailer performance metrics, competitive activity, and consumer trends to provide actionable insights that improve SKU productivity, strengthen sell-in conversations, and inform commercial decision making.
By translating complex data into simple, strategic recommendations, the Senior Market Data Analyst ensures the organization operates with clarity, alignment, and confidence in the market. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with business acumen and the ability to communicate insights in a way that drives meaningful action.
What you will do at VeSync:
1. Market & Competitive Intelligence Leadership
· Own syndicated data analysis (Circana/NPD, Helium10, Nielsen, Scintila, etc.).
· Track category performance, share shifts, velocity trends, pricing, promo intensity and frequency, and distribution gaps.
· Identify emerging competitors, white space, and critical shifts in the category.
· Deliver monthly/quarterly category reports with executive ready summary.
2. Consumer & Trend Insights
· Analyze social listening tools, review mining, and search trend data.
· Identify shifting consumer needs, feature demand, and unmet opportunities.
· Translate qualitative + quantitative signals into strategic recommendations.
· Provide early warning signals on demand shifts or competitive threats from consumers trend perspective.
3. Strategic Forecasting & Scenario Modeling
· Build volume and revenue forecasting models for new and existing SKUs.
· Model distribution gains, promotional impact, and pricing elasticity.
· Support roadmap prioritization with data backed ‘Total Addressable Market’ (TAM) and growth scenarios.
· Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Finance and Demand Planner for UPSPW productivity assumptions.
4. Retail & Channel Performance Analysis
· Evaluate Channel productivity (UPSPW, sell-through, turns, margin health).
· Identify SKU rationalization and expansion opportunities.
· Support line reviews with data-driven narratives.
· Provide retailer specific opportunity sizing.
5. Executive Reporting & Decision Enablement
· Create dashboards and reporting frameworks for leadership.
· Distill complex data into simple, actionable executive insights.
· Support QBRs, roadmap reviews, and annual planning cycles.
· Ensure alignment between Product, Sales, and Marketing with a single source of truth.

- Identifies underperformance risks early and provides clear corrective action plans
- Enables faster competitive response through real-time monitoring of share, promo intensity, and pricing shifts
- Strengthens quarterly and annual planning with reliable forecasting and performance diagnostics
- Establishes trusted authority as the single source of truth for category performance and retail productivity
What you bring to the role:
- 6–10+ years in market analytics, category insights, or business intelligence (CPG preferred)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Deep experience with syndicated data platforms (Circana, Stackline, NielsenIQ, etc.)
- Strong Excel and modeling capability (advanced formulas, forecasting, scenario analysis)
- Familiarity with social listening and digital analytics tools
- Strong storytelling and executive communication skills
Location:
- This is an on-site, office-based role in Tustin, CA.
Salary:
- Starting at $125K Annually
