In this role, you will
Develop assembly sequences and layout detailed process steps.
Execute line balancing studies to achieve production targets and optimize station cycle times.
Manage and perform engineering line trials to ensure rapid implementation with minimal disruption to the assembly line.
Provide critical feedback during design reviews for future programs to improve manufacturability, tool access, and ergonomics.
Act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting complex design, process, and quality issues on the line.
Develop and maintain 100% accurate step-by-step assembly guides for all stations using tools like Dozuki/Oxygen
Act as a technical leader, sharing knowledge and guiding junior engineers through complex technical challenges.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace preferred).
Experience: 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or automotive OEM environments, with a proven track record leading technical projects at a Senior or Staff Engineer level.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in 3DX/CATIA/Delmia for virtual builds and process planning.
Line Balancing experience
Deep understanding of GD&T, dimensional variance analysis, and metrology.
Familiarity with torque tools (Atlas Copco) and fastening processes.
Experience with Closures Systems (ie Doors, Glazings, and Dynamic Sealing Systems)
Methodologies: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, 8D Problem Solving, and MODAPTS
Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification
