The Sr Manager, Yield & Inventory leads the implementation of Spectrum Reach's strategic yield management practices for all cross-screen inventory, ensuring customers and sales teams have continuous best in class support. This role is responsible for the successful execution of yield management best practices to drive client and sales engagement and grow revenue.
The Senior Manager supports the business through analyzing strategic inventory opportunities and maximizing yield. This role is responsible for measuring and optimizing the overall success of our business, including analysis of revenue, supply and demand, and pricing strategies to maximize yield for the company. This role will work closely with senior Y&I leadership to identify and implement new monetization techniques & packaging strategies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently lead all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Work with both the Sales and cross functional teams to optimize yield for Spectrum Reach.
Specific areas of yield management responsibility include, but are not limited to, pricing and rate strategy, inventory allocations among all supply channels (linear, streaming, partnerships), revenue opportunity, and margin knowledge and management. Responsible for the overall yield maximization of our inventory portfolio.
Provide guidance and direction to the Operations team responsible for executing on yield & inventory strategies.
Analyze the impact of supply and demand changes on the business, including creating and evaluating modeled scenarios.
Yield and Inventory analyses on inventory optimization to best inform sales leadership on maximizing inventory utilization.
Serve as key point of contact for expertise on inventory management & yield optimization requests.
Assist in the development and operability of cross-screen yield management systems and processes.
Responsible for ongoing process improvement and documentation/sharing of best practices.
Publish inventory and yield analyses to appropriate audiences.
Evaluate pricing performance and review with sales and cross-functional leaders.
Build relationships with sales and other key cross-functional stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels within a matrixed organization.
Act in according with Y&I leadership expectations as team lead on strategic projects.
Develop, establish and track KPIs for team of Y&I Managers to maximize inventory and revenue for Spectrum Reach.
Responsible for developing and managing a high-performing team.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Effective written, verbal, and communication skills
Ability to multitask and take initiative
Demonstrated knowledge of the advertising industry including media metrics, yield optimization, pricing, and inventory, and programmatic buying/selling
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated analytical skills
Demonstrated functional knowledge of advertising research, operations, and data analytics
Demonstrated understanding of traffic, ad serving, and billing systems
Expert in data aggregation/Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables)
Expert in impressions-based media math
Expert understanding of supply & demand environments
Expert on strategic yield and monetization strategy
Experience implementing projects and rolling out initiatives
Expert in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience in programmatic & RTB environments
Knowledge of the CTV technical ad space & common standards (IAB)
Proven ability to understand, communicate, and implement data-driven solutions
Proven ability to coordinate multiple viewpoints and integrate them into a cohesive solution
Understanding of complex inventory environments & impacts of change management
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or combination of education and experience
Required Related Work Experience
5+ years experience within the linear and/or digital video advertising environment
5+ years of media inventory work experience
5+ years of Consultative relationships/Sales Parterships
5+ years of media management and/or advertising experience, with a proven successful track record working with a large product portfolio
3+ years of people management experience
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
1+ years of experience with Freewheel ad serving technologies
5+ years of experience with programmatic yield
5+ years of experience in analytical and data visualization

The base pay for this position generally is between
$107,900.00 and $149,520.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
