NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager Valuation Specialist to join our M&A Finance team. In this critical role, you support NVIDIA's financial and tax reporting by providing expert valuation analysis of various acquired assets.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the valuation of various acquired assets for internal purposes, including:

Accounting and tax intangible valuations: Develop underlying financial analysis and models that underlay the accounting and tax basis for acquired intangibles.

Purchase price allocations: Assist in the allocation of purchase price to acquired assets and liabilities in accordance with US GAAP and/or tax laws and regulations.

Goodwill impairment testing: Perform annual and interim impairment tests for goodwill, including developing financial forecasts, selecting appropriate discount rates, and preparing supporting documentation.

Non-affiliate equity investment: Perform and evaluate option pricing models as well as impairment risk of equity investment portfolio.

Intellectual property analysis: Analyze the value of NVIDIA's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Debt securities: Conduct fair value measurements of various debt instruments, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

Real estate: Evaluate required allocations needed in real estate purchases.

Special projects: Support other financial valuation analysis initiatives as needed, such as guarantees, put and call options.

  • Build and uphold internal valuation policies and procedures in alignment with US GAAP, other pertinent accounting standards and tax laws, rules and regulations.

  • Collaborate closely with other members of the Finance team, including corporate development, accounting, tax, and legal.

  • Keep up to date with changing accounting standards, transfer pricing methodologies, industry standard processes, and economic trends that might affect asset valuations.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ overall years of proven experience in corporate finance, with a strong focus on intangible asset valuation.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience.

  • Strong understanding of accounting and tax principles (including transfer pricing rules and guidelines) related to intangible assets, including goodwill, trademarks, patents, and technology.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet reporting requirements and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Power expert in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, modeling languages) and data analysis tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

  • Big 4 accounting firm valuation group experience.

  • Experience in a Fortune 200 company performing similar activities.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 176,000 USD - 276,000 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
