Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Test & Evaluation to lead test strategy, execution, and organizational growth. This role is responsible for integrating with and setting the direction for developmental and operational test campaigns across integrated hardware/software systems, guiding a high-performing team of test engineers, and driving collaboration with engineering, program leadership, and government stakeholders.
This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Anduril’s most critical product lines, shaping the test enterprise that validates cutting-edge warfighter capabilities.
- Set Test Strategy & Vision – Define and oversee the test enterprise, spanning developmental, operational, and acceptance testing of complex integrated systems. Ensure test campaigns align with program milestones, customer requirements, and operational realities.
- Lead and Scale Teams – Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary test organization (engineers, technicians, and test managers) across multiple sites and test ranges. Establish standards of technical excellence, safety, and disciplined execution.
- Drive Execution of Test Programs – Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of test campaigns in both laboratory and field environments. Provide leadership during high-risk operational events and ensure readiness reviews, test incident management, and deficiency reporting are handled with rigor and accountability.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement – Serve as the senior test representative in customer forums, milestone decision points, and readiness boards. Provide authoritative input on system performance, risk posture, and test results to internal executives and external government stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Leadership – Partner and support Program Management, SEIT, Systems Engineering, and product line leadership to ensure requirements traceability, verification/validation coverage, and successful integration of test results into product development cycles.
- Institutionalize Best Practices – Establish enterprise-wide test standards, metrics, and reporting frameworks (e.g., requirements coverage, defect closure rates, operational readiness metrics). Ensure compliance with MIL-STD protocols and DoD/government test processes.
- Data-Driven Outcomes – Direct test data analysis to generate actionable insights on system performance, mission outcomes, and design improvements. Champion the adoption of modern tools for automation, CI/CD integration, and advanced data analytics.
- Operational Excellence – Ensure that all test campaigns are executed safely, on schedule, and with disciplined rigor — whether in controlled lab environments or austere operational test ranges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred). Equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
- 10+ years of experience in system-level test and evaluation of complex hardware/software systems, with at least 5+ years in organizational leadership (managing teams of ≥ 10 engineers/technicians).
- Proven track record leading multi-site, multi-domain test programs across developmental and operational environments.
- Strong background in test strategy, requirements management, verification/validation, and operational assessments.
- Hands-on familiarity with RF communications, tactical datalinks, and networked C2 systems.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD and industry test processes, including MIL-STD test protocols and government verification practices.
- Skilled in defining and reporting test metrics (coverage %, requirements verification %, defect closure rates).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive briefing skills — capable of representing Anduril to senior military and government stakeholders.
- Ability to travel periodically up to 50% for domestic and international test execution.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, or related technical field.
- Previous experience as senior Test & Evaluation leader on a DoD ACAT I/II program.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing, MIL-STD environmental and avionics standards.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, hardware-in-the-loop environments, and modern data analysis tools.
- Experience leading test campaigns in remote or austere environments.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
